Great larger size googles
Other goggles feel too small and I don’t have a big head. I live the larger size of these - such a great viewing area.

Excellent lenses - super easy to change!
After having a not-so-satisfactory experience with two other brands I did weeks of research before finally deciding on the Zeal Optics Portal XL. I'm a big guy with a big noggin and needed some large goggles to give me proper vision. I have now used the Portals 6 times at ski resorts in West Virginia - at night and on cloudy and sunny days. I sweat and breathe heavy. A lot. Because of that, I've always had fogging problems - particularly during this season with the mask requirement. Honestly, I still have the fogging problem while wearing a mask under these Zeals, but it has gotten noticeably better. The ventilation in these google is very good. When I'm moving the air circulates well, but when I ski into a lift line and become stationary while huffing and puffing in a mask, there's no stopping the fog. If you're a heavy breather like me and you have fogging problems too, I've found that the trick is to pull my goggles up onto my helmet when I ski into the lift line...then pull them back down once I'm moving in a chair. The best part about these goggles is 1) replacement lenses are not nearly as expensive as the other top brands (except maybe for the photochromatic lenses), 2) they are super easy to change out, and 3) although they are magnetic lenses, they are firmly secure. I have had other sets of magnetic lens goggles and they were a nightmare; the magnets didn't seem strong enough and the lens would become separated from the frame when I pulled my goggle up onto the front of my helmet. Not a problem with the Zeals. If you get the photochromatic lens you won't regret it - they are certainly more expensive, but wow are they worth it! I don't need to change my lens out during the day based on cloud cover anymore. They come with a low-light blue tint lens, which most people could use for night skiing, but I prefer a clear lens at night so I paid an extra $50 for those (much cheaper than a clear lens for any other top brand). I have used the low-light lens once on a super overcast, snowy day and they were perfect. I don't wear glasses so I can't speak to that, but the goggles stick out away from my face considerably. I would imagine they're great for people who wear glasses underneath the goggles, but for me that's honestly my only complaint about these Zeals - the frame tends to stick out just a little too far and does block a little bit of my peripheral vision. That's not to say the peripherals are bad in these - they're still good, but not quite as good as some of the other top-tier goggles. All in all I'm very happy with the Portal XLs, hence the 5 stars. You will be too!

Amazing
I had a previous version of the technology, but I absolutely love the view through these goggles. They seem to work through virtually all conditions so far.

Fog
Worked well for the first 2 days of my trip. Major fog issues on the 3rd day which was the coldest day. I tried my brothers goggles which was a different brand and there were no issues. Disappointed I needed to return them.

Excellent visibility.
I have used these goggles skiing in various lighting conditions ranging from bright sunshine to very flat light and the visibility is excellent. You get two different lenses and once you get used to changing them you can make the switch easily. I really like the magnetic connection to the frame that has an added bonus of better peripheral vision. I have used a lot of ski googles over the years and rate these as one of the best.

Damn good goggles!
Super clear, easiest lens change ever, great fit. I can't say enough about these goggles.

Avoid buying Zeal
Garbage product. The goggles fog up much quicker than Smith ones, the lens are poor quality, foam padding lose the softness after one use. I’d look at other brands.

Automatic Lenses and great peripheral
By far my favorite goggles ever to sit on my face... hands down after 25 years of having to wear goggles for work and fun, these grant the best peripheral I have had and the ease of changing lenses is unreal! My favorite as I like to call it the "blood reflection" Automatic RB lenses always keeps me entertained and in awe while guiding or waiting for my group. And the amount of light that is allowed in on the Automatic Lenses actually works... no need to carry 3 lenses with you all day. You just need one. 5☆ for sure!!!
