Extreme High Quality Powerhouse
This is a powerhouse. The quality of this thing is equal to slow cookers that cost $700 and up. It’s a no brainer. And I have no affiliation with the manufacturer, seller or Amazon.

The perfect slow multicooker
We were looking for a replacement for our super old slow cooker and zojirushi was the perfect answer. This one appliance does slow cooking (with 4 temp.settings), we can steam fish or veg, make homemade yogurt!, and even mKe a stew where you brown/sizzle meat and onions before setting it to slower cook mode. You can also use as a rice/quinoa cooker, but because it is a stainless steel pot, the rice tends to stick. So we ended up getting a dedicated rice cooker as well. But we really love our new multi-cooker: so versatile and a solid product from a great brand.

Cooks good rice in a stainless steel pot but takes a long time
I bought this primarily to cook rice— I realize I could have bought a rice cooker but I wanted a stainless steel pot and not one coated with pfas and other chemicals. I did not realize it takes 1 hour to cook white rice and 2 hours to cook brown rice. Also, the lowest line is for three cups of rice— so this would work well for a bigger family. You can estimate the amount of water for two cups of rice but it would have been nice to have an actual line!

Perfect low and slow
So we had a Breville slow cooker for many years. We hardly used it because it cooked too hot. On warm it was like a hot setting on typical slow cookers. High was down right nuclear. So this last summer at the family vacation rental at. Lake house we had enough. Left it behind for the rental and bought the Zojirushi when I got home. I have several Zojirushi products and not one disappointment. Drip coffee maker.... love.... nuero fuzzy rice cooker.... perfect for 15+ years. So I read up on this and many reviews mentioned how low its temp is. I have a pellet smoker and cook low and slow at 225 so I'm fine with things taking a while to cook. 1st use and the lower temps were taking too long so turned it up as I went along. It took a little longer but the bake potato soup I made was prob the best thing I ever made in a slow cooker. It was that fantastic. I'd rather have it on the low and slow side vs nuclear any day. You can always turn it up or change the function for higher heat if needed.

Buite like a tank but with a MAJOR design flaw- Please read
This is one of those cases of it COULD have been really great but failed, here's the deal. On the great side, this cooker is VERY well made, the SS cooking pot is HEAVY! as is the lid, and in general as I said before, it is well thought out and well made, so then comes the mystery the what were they thinking (or not thinking) moment. The major flaw? It's UNDERPOWERED. 1350 watts is simply not enough power to do certain things. When I steamed 1lb of veggies (cooking for 10min after preheating which is PLENTLY of time via stovetop) they came out kind of hot but not fully steamed, and I was asked how long they had been setting even though I took them out and served them right away. As a consequence of its lack of power, the sear function is a joke, to get a proper sear, you need -at least- 550F and the unit simply can't do that with only 1350 watts. In order to do what it claims to do, you would need a heating element that is at LEAST 1500 watts (1800 would be much better) to get things done. If ALL you want or need is a really well made good slow cooker, then look no further, this will work great, but if you want more I suggest looking at the Instapot Aura Pro 8qt (NOT the 6qt version) it is a very good unit and is 1500 watts. I hope this helps and feedback is welcome.

Excellent replacement for a crock pot that gives you faster and slower options.
I purchased this after 3 Crock Pots failed on me in only a few months after daily use. IF you are coming from a Crock Pot, then you need to know that the "slow cook" function is actually much lower than the average "low" setting on a Crock Pot Use the Simmer Low setting instead which is just a bit hotter than the low setting on a Crock Pot. The unit is very easy to use, and even easier to clean. Cleaning the stainless inner pot is much easier. The handle design is one of the best features of the system, it lets you comfortably and safely take off the lid and stand it up on a counter without worry. If you don't need pressure cooking then this will probably do just about everything you could think of including be your rice maker.

This needs some adjustments to work in Australia
Being sold through amazon.au I assumed that this multi-cooker would be suitable for use in Australia. This however is not the case. We also had to buy a step down transformer (another 150 bucks) in order to be able to use it. Having said that, I am really enjoying using this product. The simmer acts as the equivalent of "high" on another slow cooker, and the stainless steel insert means I'm not worried about ingesting toxins with my dinner.
