Cute but not escape proof
Our dog is quite small and the panel that slides into place at the bottom is big enough for her to push out and squeeze through. Otherwise, this crate is amazing quality and very cute.

I like it and my dog LOVES it.
I read most of the reviews AFTER I ordered this (I know, I know) and started to panic when a lot of them weren’t great, specifically about the flimsy locks for the doors. At that point, I figured I’d just have to wait and see for myself. My wait was shorter than expected as the crate arrived a day earlier than anticipated. I unboxed the crate and immediately inspected for defects or missing pieces. All pieces were accounted for but there was a very minor scratch on one of the trim pieces that go on towards the bottom. It was very small and I honestly can’t say if it was shipped like that or if I was not careful and made the scratch when unboxing. It was so tiny though so I was ok with it. The instructions state that it’s best to have two people assemble the dog crate but I did it myself and it was fairly simple. The instructions could be better; there were only pictures and they were not that great either but I was able to figure them out just fine. One thing I think is odd, is that there is a latch that goes on the inside of the double doors. I guess that maybe they added this to make them more secure after receiving customer feedback but it’s in a strange and inconvenient place. It does make those doors much more secure though. I tested how it sturdy the latches were on the double doors without that inside lock and they were pretty flimsy. I locked it back up and it’s very secure again. I have tiny hands so I can maneuver them in to flip the lock but I could see it being an issue for someone with regular to larger sized hands. Now, I have thought that maybe I put the lock on incorrectly but I aligned them with the pre drilled holes and followed the drawing on the instructions; I think it’s just the way it is. In truth, at one point during assembly I thought that it was not going to be sturdy at all but once I tightened the flat screw things (Idk what they’re called) it became much more structurally sound. Dare I say, it’s pretty sturdy! Just don’t turn the screws too tight. Once I finished with the assembly, I was relieved that the crate was better than how it’s described in many of the reviews. It’s super cute! I felt that it wasn’t necessary to use wood glue or attach additional latches, as some have, when I had everything together. I’m not opposed to doing so if I have to in the future, but i think it’ll keep my dog safe and secure as it is now. I will note that the tray that is included is a bit small, but I put my dog’s bed on top of it and that fits perfectly. I have an adult dog and this will work fine for us but, because there isn’t a bottom, I’d probably recommend another crate if you are buying for a puppy or to crate train. Speaking of my dog, I adopted him about a year ago. I bought a canvas crate when he first came home and he did not like it AT ALL. With this new crate though, he’ been lounging in there like he’s owned it for years. He appears very comfortable and seems to love it! Pros: Attractive Easy to Assemble Sturdy Dog loves it Cons Weird inside placement for extra lock for the double doors (that’s if I assembled it correctly)

Great...BUT
This is cute and does look nice in my living room compared to a metal kennel. I like it but the spacing of the dowels gives the dogs plenty of room to chew them up and escape. I only leave them in it for maybe 2 hours to run errands and the first day it was destroyed. I have a pomeranian and westie. They both fit nicely in it but I'm not happy they were able to get out in a day. In my opinion it's not worth the price to be that easily chewed through. I of course leave bones, toys and other treats.

Nice product
The assembly instructions were a bit confusing at first, but once I figured them out it only took me about an hour to put together. It does have a terrible smell, which I am hoping is just temporary because it's new. My pup isn't too sure if she likes it yet. I'm sure she will love it eventually. Overall I really like the product. I wish the black wasn't so much more expensive because that was the color I really wanted.

Don't believe "very good" if bought used
The product itself is nicely made and pretty sturdy. However I bought it used. It was described as very good condition. Ha! The doors were chewed up and a few of the "bars" were missing. Obviously the previous occupant wanted out. That's what I get for trying to save a few bucks. I will not be purchasing anything used from Amazon again. If you have a pup that likes being in a crate or don't plan to leave them in it all day this is a nice table/ crate.

Beautiful piece
A lot of pieces, hard to put together

It's weird that there is no bottom piece, just a plastic tray that slides in for the base.
Was not easy to put together even for a seasoned IKEA user from back in the day. Difficult and time consuming. Would happily have paid an extra $20 to have some of the hinges and metal pieces already attached in the right places, or even the trim pieces could have been easily installed to save unnecessary work. Having no feet or wheels on the bottom of the unit looks a little weird sitting right on the ground. It appears like it's missing something. But I have it in a back room and I like that the two front doors completely flip open and wrap around the sides because I never close them, and they can sit tight to side walls and not flop open in front. It's just used for toy storage and a place for my dog to bury treats that he ultimately won't eat but seems to enjoy stashing.

It was a bear to assemble
The instructions included were minimal, the cage was difficult to get into position, the wood parts were mislabeled or the instructions were wrong, you pick? Finally got it together, looks okay, I’ll see how the dog does in it. She’s only a 7-9 pound yorkie so I think it’ll stand up to her, it might not hold up to a bigger/ stronger dog.

Very pleased and lovely piece of practical furniture
I wasn't 100% convinced due to some of the reviews but decided to take a gamble and I must say it was well worth it. The crate is not the biggest on the market but the wood surrounding really turns it into a useable piece of furniture and masks the actual use. Very well made slots together easy and very sturdy (just make sure you push it all together properly)

Stylish and functional
Looks really stylish. The wooden frame is a bit flimsy, as the top is only balancing on the stills. But the cage itself is really sturdy and has removable tray and 2 doors. Overall I’m happy with this product.

Fabulous piece of furniture
Lovely piece of ‘furniture’ to finish off our newly decorated bedroom. We have to have the pooches in our room so this made the room look finished. Probably could do with very front having some kind of securing to keep in place. But i am delighted overall with product
