Surprising quality!
When I first read the reviews, I was worried about how thick the walls of the glasses would be. I had previously bought the Collin’s glasses from these guys which had very thin walls… It was fine for those glasses, but for old fashioned glasses? … I’m not entirely sure. But lo and behold, the walls are thicker! Thick enough to relieve my anxiety but not too thick such that all I’m tasting is glass instead of my drink. I can understand the frustration people are having with these glasses, but to be fair, thin glass can only be so durable, no matter how many innovations. Be extremely careful with these glasses: always hold the glass by the thick base, try to avoid drinks that are hard to clean out of the glass, and always wash the glass at consistent temperatures (cool water is best). The glass was pretty for your drink—and at a pretty good value at that—so be nice to it. ;-) For days that you just want a drink without all the baggage, make sure to have a regular clunky old fashioned glass.

Great products
I have wine glasses, champagne glasses and rocks glasses by them and love all of them. Went through several brands of wine glasses and all of them had some impurities or imperfections. Same for this kind of tall glass. But then after getting this brand I found perfection and beauty. So when I ordered these glasses I knew they would be perfect. Only downside is they don’t take to knocks well. We put them in the dishwasher but have to be careful when sliding in or out the rack they are on because they are so too heavy when upside down in the dishwasher that if moved too fast they can fall over pretty easily which makes them hit other things pretty hard and since they are so thin they don’t really stand a chance. I don’t fear breaking them in hand or when giving cheers with other glasses but they aren’t as forgiving to accidents like toppling as other glasses are. Well worth the money. They look superb and classy.

Good glasses
These are very nice on the rocks glasses, but they have a large diameter. Would be difficult for a person with small hands to grasp this glass.

Watch out using with ice dispenser
I love the SZ glassware. We have these in our home and in a fully stocked bar - wine glasses, long drink, juice, whiskey, shot glass, martini glasses, etc. I've never had one break in the dishwasher as others mentioned. However, the long drink glasses of this line have much thinner side walls than the shorter juice & whiskey glasses and we've had over 75% of them break from ice cubes coming out of the ice dispenser. I only have about 4 left of these, started with 16 glasses. Need new glasses. Debating whether I'm going to buy the same ones or a more sturdy replacement. The rest of this line of glasses are perfectly fine. I've got 12-18 of each type.

They're great, with one exception
We're very pleased with the quality of these glasses. They're a clean and classic design, they wash well, seem durable, and are versatile with different table settings. I'd give them a 5 star rating except for the fact that the name 'Schott Zwiesel' is etched into the bottom of each glass. The font is small, but I prefer not to wear or promote logos on items I purchase. I'd just prefer that I not see a name at the end of every drink.

Love these glasses
The glasses actually look better than the picture, the size is perfect for any drink with a lot of ice and they are wonderful gift. I had similar glasses before but the walls were paper thin and all of them broke in no time. These glasses are very sturdy in comparison. I just love them

Great glasses and good value for money
I purchased these as a gift for friend. They are great glasses and good value for money. The top edge is finished nicely. I read multiple reviews about Schott prior to ordering. I did find some negative comments, but after using them, and seeing others use them at a party last night at the recipients home, I have to say I do not agree with any of the negative comments. How often do you see guests complimenting drinking glasses? This 13.5oz size is perfect for mixed drinks with lots of room for ice. The weight is perfect, a feel of quality without undue bulk. Is it possible to criticize these glasses, you can see some distortion in the base if you hold them up to the light. They are very clear, but not as clear as very high end crystal. Use some common sense here, these cost me $15 a piece, Baccarat will set you back $100 or more, so yes, better does exist if you are willing to pay a lot more. If you are looking for a classy dishwasher friendly glass these are perfect. We need daily use glasses in our home and have decided to buy a full set of Schott. We have had enough of the cheap warehouse store glasses that scratch and break easily and go cloudy in the dishwasher. Note if you watch "Mad Men" you will see glasses that look just like these in action. Update May 2015: Still like them, have since purchase a full set for daily use at home. So far zero losses, zero scratches, or any other issues.

expensive but nice looking
These are quite large compared to what i originally expected them to be. However, they are still a good size. They fit a tall beer (e.g., guinness) without any spillage which is nice. For cocktails, they will require a bit more ice to fill the volume. Overall i like the glasses, but i do think that they look a little better in the pictures than in person. They look a bit more smokey in the pictures, but in person they look much more like clear glass. These are a bit on the pricey side, but I was replacing some very old mismatched glassware, so these are definitely a welcome replacement.

Basic and beautiful
I was debating over this or the smaller 9oz glasses and am so thankful that I went with these. They're beautifully crafted and the ideal size for a multi-purpose glass. They have been used endlessly since being gifted as a Christmas present, mostly for eggnog and whiskey on the rocks.
