The cat logo won me over
I browsed through many toasters and then noticed the cat logo on this one. How could I resist? It does a good job toasting. It’s a little overzealous popping up the toast — it often jumps onto the counter. I like the cool-touch plastic sides.

I promised an Update. Here it is. UPDATE: 8/23/21 The toaster is now working well. But beware the VERY strong spring! The toast will occasionally jump out of the toaster onto your counter! Today it set a record of 9" for a lighter bread. It nearly missed the counter and jumped itself into my recycle basket. Hint: Do not place the toaster near and parallel to the edge of your counter! Or you may be picking up toast from the floor. You can try catching the toast in mid-flight. I haven't succeeded at that, yet. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ORIGINAL POST PROs; - it toasts well and evenly - it gets cool to the touch quickly - toast is raised high for easy picking CONS: 1- the (I.S.) Instruction Sheet says: “With the first usage a slight smell can arise. This is normal and dissipates after a short time.” FALSE! The toaster emitted such a STRONG chemical smell I had to turn it off and open ALL the windows in my apartment. (The I.S. says you may want to “open a window.”) However the smell permeated my two bedroom apartment in minutes. The stench was and remains so strong I have to walk around with a facemask! It took hours to reduce the smell. Even after 24 hours the smell is still present. It will take days to totally disappear, if ever! To burn off and reduce the smell I put the toaster on my porch and ran it a dozen times, waiting until it was cold in between cycles. That helped prevent new odor from entering my apartment. Today I made my breakfast toast on the porch. 2- The I.S. says: “After use, always remove the plug from the mains power socket, (sic) this prevents unintentional switch on of the appliance.” Really? Unplugging and replugging after each use! How long can the plug last under those conditions. How inconvenient! 3- The Crumb Tray is in the back of the toaster, If you place the toaster in the usual perpendicular position against a wall or backsplash you have to turn it around to empty the tray. 4- The I.S. says: “Warning! Risk of burning if you do not use standard toast bread.” Yet the description on Amazon says: “suitable for frozen pancakes , toaster pastries,” So which is it? In conclusion, the toaster has some very good features others have written about. But be sure to first use the toaster outside until the chemical smell burns off. I will update my review when/if the situation improves or if I give up and return it to Amazon.

Good toaster...It does the job!
I bought this toaster to replace my order *brand-name* toaster, which did not last as long as I would have expected it to. This toaster is a good addition to my kitchen appliances. It is modern looking and doesn't occupy too much space on the counter. This toaster is extremely user-friendly (I am very comfortable with my 8-year old using it) and has an option to even defrost. It has 6 different settings (depending on how crispy you want it). The first toast takes about 2 minutes (depending on your settings) and the subsequent ones are close to 60-90 seconds. It has wider slots and can easily toast bagels and waffles as well. It is easy to clean and I am happy with my purchase. I recommend it to anyone looking for a toaster with a reasonable price and good features. Edit: Updating it to 5 stars as it has worked well for me for some time and it is definitely better than the other toaster that I got from a big-box store.

I love use this toaster used for two months no problems so far.
I bought this toaster as well as a coffee maker. The toaster is still going strong. The coffee maker was a POS.

Not always consistent.
This toaster does ok most of the time, however sometimes it will only toast one side of the bread, or the bottom will be toasted, and the top not much. Go figure!

Nice toaster
Bought this for our RV. Needed a 2 slice for space. Works well and matches our decor. Good value. Do be careful though, when it pops up it might go flying Lol!
