The handle on this unit is awful.

Everything about this unit screams quality, except the handle. Even being male and having strong hands the handle design is painful to use. Simply put, All-Clad made a huge mistake with design.

Nice pan terrible handle

This is a high quality, heavy duty pan with a terrible handle. It almost feels like the handle was designed upside down I.e it digs into your palm when lifted with one hand. Thus, 4 stars.

2.5 Years of Heavy Wear and …?

I waited to afford the all-clad. It’s made so very well, and stood up to 2.5 years of heavy use and uncareful washing. Finally, the surface became so pitted and flaking that we had to send it to recycling. After it’s peak in the first year, the biggest life shortener for us was too high temps, vinegar, heavy handed washing and incorrect utensils. Daily use. It’s takes awhile to fully heat up. Fairly easy to clean at first, and, yes, overall very durable.

Best frying pan ever!

Love All-Clad. This is my second pan. It cooks everything beautifully on no more than medium heat. And so easy to clean too.

Worst handle in the industry!

Great non-stick and super easy cleanup. Durability looks good after two months. But the handle! This has got to be the most uncomfortable handle ever designed! Did anyone actually use this handle before they put the pan into production? It cuts into your hand making it a torture to use. Otherwise it’s a good pan. The sides are low so don’t think it will be easy to stir-fry or flip your food, but it works well.

An excellent workhorse pan

After almost daily use for 8 months, I still love this pan. Sturdy, good flat bottom, great heat conduction, and the nonstick coating is as good as new. The one drawback: its weight can make it tricky to hold sideways when turning out food. I've used all kinds of nonstick pans over four decades of daily cooking, from expensive to cheap, and this has got to be the best one yet. Note I have never put it in the dishwasher. UPDATE: 1 year 9 months later, surface has a few tiny scratches but non-stick surface still going strong! Best performance so far of any nonstick pan I have ever used. UPDATE: Used nearly daily for three years. Then I blew it with high heat and no fat. Excellent, durable pan, but I still think the handle is awkward, given the weight of the pan. Will be looking for a pan with a flatter/grippable handle.

Non-stick works great.

It’s great quality. My 1st and only All Clad. Yes it’s heavy. Yes it’s tough to lift but it has a handle on the opposite side of the long handle. So far no scratches. Washes up easily. If heavy means performance I’m Ok with that.

Worth it!

Terrific frying pan. All-Clad is always worth it. A little expensive and a touch heavy but a great investment. Super having a lid too.

Great pan for the deal

I have the 8in and 10in too and they are great pans and work great on induction/glass top stoves, which is what i've been looking to buy forever now. It's hard to find pans that won't warp over time. And once I go to a gas stove, I'm ready to go. If you are using them on induction/glass stoves, never heat them on high and there is no need with these pans once they get hot.

No oil needed. Nonstick, egg tested

Nonstick, I tested with eggs. Worked amazingly. Only down fall, terrible handle. Nonstick 5/5 and handle comfort 1/5.
