Already cut open

As a bunch of previous reviews, the batteries arrived loose in the box with a cut open plastic package. (Maybe that’s what made them easy open?) I checked that they still show 1.5 bolts, so hopefully they are okay.

Damaged product container

This is the second battery package that I received that was broken (replacement for original product) upon arrival. Letting you guys know so that you can adress it. Do not need another replacement. I just wanted to bring it to your attention.

Bought it during lock down

During lockdown D cell batteries vanished form stores. I previously used Zn-carbon batteries which has short life but in recent years I have noticed they don't last that long as they used to be. So I bought the alkaline battery from Amazon. Alkaline batteries provide same voltage as Zn-carbon, so it is compatible with all devices. Further more because of its different chemistry it has more power reserve and output (Amp) than Zn-C cell. Theoretically Zn-C D cell can provide 7000 mAh, whereas Alkaline D cell can provide 18000 mAh. So theoretically it's far better and my Zn-C D cell last for 5 months in Philips transistor so I can expect these to last for more than a year. My transistor requires 3 cells, so 1 remained extra which has no use. These alkaline batteries are prone to leak due to their inherent chemistry, So periodically (every 3 months) check batteries for leaks. If it leaks throw away immediately otherwise it will eat away metals around like connector, circuit board. The leaking chemical is potassium hydroxide, which is converted to potassium carbonate as it comes in contact with air, which is highly corrosive for many things, especially metals. I will update about longevity after prolong use.

The very opposite of frustration free packing

The very thick plastic casing will drive you mad trying to open it. Why not do it in re-cycled cardboard

Great batteries

I can't really review longevity as I only received the batteries 2 days ago, and remote control is another slightly random tick list provided when reviewing! What i can say is that the batteries were securely packaged in cardboard, arrived very quickly, and my now functioning torch says thank you. I hope you find this review helpful, thanks for reading.

Great for my burglar alarm

I needed 4x D cells in a hurry to get my burglar alarm back up and running. These did the trick nicely. No problems with dimensions etc., and they are working fine far.
