For wine glasses with small bases

A great rack for the price. If you have Champagne flutes or wine glasses with smaller-than-average bases, this will be a good purchase and it holds a lot of glasses. If you are willing to put some handyman work into the rack, you can make it work for average-sized bases as well. I chose this wine rack because of price, size, and because none of the reviews mentioned a problem with fitting the wine glasses in the rack. Similar wine racks for sale had comments stating that the racks only held wine glasses with small bases. This is true for this rack as well - my nicer wine glasses (lead crystal Mondavi series by Waterford, Riedel, and others) were too big for the slots. We fixed this issue by moving one of the slats over 1cm, but it was a bit challenging. If you are good with a drill and have the attachment to make the sunken screw hole, it will be easy for you to modify the rack to suit your glasses. The hung rack looks very nice but is a bit unstable and sways back and forth more than expected. Metal beaded string is included for the hanging of the rack but I would have preferred a small chain-linked configuration or something sturdier. I will have to use wire to reinforce the area where the beaded string meets the ceiling hook to stabilize the rack, and it is only about 4 inches from the J-hook in the ceiling. Just minor issues that I would want the buyer to know beforehand - overall a great purchase!

Good product, but not perfect.

So when this package first arrived it was in a narrow and long box. The box had been through the ringer and showed signs of damage from the outside. The actual piece inside did suffer slightly from this faulty shipping and showed a pressure mark on the wood. Fortunately this was on the upper side and would not be visible once installed. Now, the actual product was easy to install with some hooks ( not supplied ) and looks great hanging. If you look very closely however you can see it needs another coat of stain or something. The wood just looks dried out and rough. I ended up hammering in small nails into one side and sliding the glasses all the way over to them. This was because one of them had fallen off do to vibrations.

I finally got this wine rack up above my bar counter. I was a bit disappointed that it would not hold my red wine glasses because the base was would not fit into the slats. But otherwise it looks great and it is a nice focal point of my bar counter area....

It's a really great product, just could use some stoppers at least on one side so the glasses don't slide off. We lost some nice stuff.

love it!

love it !! I feel like I have my own little "cheer bar " (a tv sitcom from the 80s) in my kitchen.. had to readjust the 2 end slats but it was easy..its alittle bit over priced but I loved the convenience of not having to chop the wood myself & also brought better hardware for the hanging (the chain they sent were really cheap like a light pull chain) brought really lite link chain with s hooks workout great!!

Complete waste of money - very cheap!

While I generally don't write reviews, I had to weigh in on this item. Even though a little on the expensive size for what it is, I thought that it would be a nice addition for our wine room. When it arrived, I was very disappointed to see how low quality this was. The wood is very cheap and rough, not finished on the ends and the construction is pathetic - none of the rails for the glasses are screwed on straight! Yes, you could take it all apart and refinish and re-screw every piece, but at this price that is ridiculous! This is a real piece of junk and a waste of money. My wife wouldn't even let me put it up in another location. On top of all this the 'chain' for hanging it up is not only way too short to be of much use, but it is a beaded chain like you would have attached to a utility light bulb in an attic. All this is good for is fire wood. Don't waste your time on this - there are much higher quality items out there for the same or less money.
