Simple Quality Ingredients - but Lots of Fragrance
OR how too much fragrance ruined a wonderful, almost perfect skin lotion. I would buy this lotion at this price if they left out the fragrance factors. Yes, this is a really great skin lotion but it was ruined by minor ingredients that undo all of the good things this lotion included. Anti-Aging Moisturizer (Lavender) contains a nice blend of quality, simple ingredients but the fragrance is overwhelming, If you have sensitive skin, acne or any kind of skin condition like eczema or rosacea, this could easily trigger a flare-up. The packaging is simple and the vacuum pump bottle is a nice touch. If you are buying this to make a difference, it is a really great thought but I find that this is really on the pricey side for what it is. I really loved how this makes my skin feel and it is very moisturizing but I can't use this long term because the scent is just too much and extreme for me. In the long run, anything with this much fragrance is going to cause irritation. I also found that this caused major eye irritation if it got anywhere near them. Ingredients breakdown Aloe Vera Juice, - awesome that this is the first ingredient rather than water Shea Butter, excellent at retaining moisture in your skin Kokum Butter, natural emollient similar to cocoa butter Grape Seed Oil, polyphenols and antioxidants help tighten skin and may help with acne Jojoba Oil soothes and moisturizes skin helps reduce oil Plant Glycerin, moisturizer, and skin conditioner Vitamin B3, niacinamide which helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles Sake Kasu contains Kojic acid which has a brightening and whitening effect on the skin, full of B vitamins Citrus Fiber, antioxidant Gotu Kola speeds healing, antioxidant, helps with scarring and broken capillaries Plant Peptide Complex, kickstarts the skin renewal process Comfrey contains Allantoin boosts the growth of new skin cells and helps with inflammation Holy Basil, helps with acne and skin infections Zinc Oxide, protective coating for skin, helps with irritation Micro Algae Instant hydration and antioxidant Licorice helps fade dark spots and brightens the skin Xanthan Gum, a natural ingredient that holds the lotion together Acacia Senegal, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging Here is where this lotion is ruined. Lavender oil, anti-inflammatory, anti-aging, moisturizer BUT this is a fragrance and can cause a ton of issue and reactions Vitamin E antioxidant but recent studies are showing that it is one of the most reactionary ingredients in skin care that can cause irritation Jasmin Oil. ORGANIC moisturizer helps reduce age spots but again, this is FRAGRANCE and can lead to a lot of skin issues after repeated use.

Earthy scent, really seems to do some good
I really don't get the complaints about the scent. It has an earthy, lavender scent that is quite pleasant, and reminds me of many aromatic oils I've run across in the past. Definitely nothing unpleasant to my nose. In other news, it seems to really work for me--it may be confirmation bias, since I love this company's other products, but when I wake up I look a bit nicer than I'm used to, and there's no greasy residue on my face. When it goes on it is pretty strong and a bit tacky even, but just let it soak in and relax. My skin is pretty oily, maybe oily combination and generally acne prone, but I have no problems with this stuff whatsoever. It doesn't seem to be on their official website anymore though, so I'm scooping it up before it disappears...!

My anti aging moisturizer smells bad
I have ordered from jivi before amazon came along. I have never had an issue with their products. But when I purchased an over priced cucumber moisturizer, it smelled so bad that even my 5 year old asked “what is that smell on your face mommy”? Not sure if I was sent an expired product or if amazon is adding it’s own ingredients.

An Off Putting Shade Of Tan
I do like that this Anti-Aging Moisturizer is 100% Natural, and Lavender is my favorite scent, but this Moisturizer is an off putting shade of tan. I have no idea what ingredient or ingredients in this moisturizer makes it this color, but I have never seen any moisturizer, natural or not this color. It's also very thick, which makes it hard to spread. They practically hit you over the head that for each purchase, a meal is given to those in need to Feeding America, which helps food banks around the country fight hunger. It's on the bottle, on the product box, as well as on an enclosed card. I get it, you give back, but it starts to feel like they feel that you should purchase this product if for no other reason because they do give back. I've been an Amazon Vine Member for 10 years now. My task as an Amazon lVine Member is to test the product, and give an honest review of it. Yes I would always choose to purchase products from companies who do give back, over those companies who don't, but if I don't like the product, even if you give back, l still won't buy it. I think it should be mandatory that companies do give back. The more you have, the more you should give. In the United States, it's already been proven that those people who have the least, give the most. Some Amazon Vine Members may give you an extra star for giving back, but not me. As a person on this planet, everyone should do one good thing anonymously, because it's the right thing to do, without wanting recognition and for it. No need to toot your own horn! Doing the right thing should be reward enough! It's fine to let customers and potential customers know the kind of company you are. Once would of been fine, but is it really necessary to do it 3 times, once on the product box, an enclosed card, and on the product itself? On the product itself would of sufficed for me.

This was supposed to smell like cucumber and sage. It had a terrible smell. It wasn't even close.
