Perfect!

Exactly what I was looking for to replace my old plastic one that I hid in the pantry. This one sits out on my kitchen counter and is decorative as well as keeps my recipe cards handy.

Doesn’t come with recipe cards

I love this rustic box. However, I chose this one over another(identical) because this one was pictured with the recipe cards. It doesn’t come with them. It is empty. And much larger than I expected. But that’s ok too.

Beautiful but delicate

The box is beautifully decorated, and I love it; however, it is not durable. I cook/bake daily and it has already expanded due to the heat in the kitchen. The only thing I’d change is the quality/durability.

Cheap construction, but those aren't fabric panels. Attractive.

As other reviewers have said, this is a lightweight, cheaply constructed box - very soft wood, easily dented; the corners are little more than foil, and the hardware is a soft, pressed metal. So I'd say it's best relegated to decorative and light-duty use. (Though it looks like the perfect miniature treasure chest, I definitely wouldn't give it to a child who plays hard!) That said, it's a bit nicer than I expected. In the pictures, the oval panels look like some sort of thin, faux-aged embroidered fabric that might come unglued and fray at the edges. It's not - it appears to be some kind of embossed, laminated thick paper or vinyl, and it's well glued. On mine, the ovals are a bit asymmetrical (again, cheaply made), but in my opinion, that only adds to the wabi-sabi charm. Here's hoping it holds together long enough to justify the cost.

Put together shabbily

I love the look of the box, but my 5 x 7 cards do not fit well. I had to cut the bottom for the lid to close. Since I tried to close the lid at first, the tiny little nails holding the top on separated. The nails are so thin they bent and I cannot use them. For a wooden box at this price, I would expect better workmanship.

This box works well, however, 5x7 cards had to be cut to fit. Could not find cards to fit it well.

Cheaply made and not as shown in the photo

Poor quality product for the price. Hinges were crooked, screw crooked bending the latch, chip in the corner, bottom wood thin and warped. Feels very cheaply made. The size of the box is misrepresented in the photos, says it fits 4x6 cards, but box is almost 8" wide, cards would not fit. Working on getting a refund.

no lo utilizo para almacenar tarjetas, por lo que no puedo opinar al respecto. en cuanto calidad y terminado es muy bueno. tiene un acabado un tanto vintage. realmente parece un cofre
