Excellent Support - Tight for Larger Legs
I bought the Cramer Hip Spica to provide more support to my hip flexor injury from over training for a 10Km run. Running is out, but I continue to play badminton which is quite hard on my hip. Without any support I found it takes 3 days to recover. Prior to using the Hip Spica I was using Kinesio Tape to provide extra support to my hip & hip flexor. This provided good support but needed 3 strips of tape which gets expensive 20 strips = 10$, 3 strips = 1.50$. The Spica does the same job w/ slightly more support and cheaper in long run. It does takes a while to get the hang of wrapping, mostly where to start as the instructions don't include pictures. You need to piece things together from the picture on the pkg. Still it's not rocket science and once you find the point to start you wrap it twice around your thigh and once around your opposite hip and back to your thigh. With Spica it takes 1-2 days to fully recover, but discomfort is much much less. I'm not a big guy 5'8" and 159 lbs and the wrap barely fits my leg. My thighs are around 20". If I wrap it too tight I can feel my circulation start to drop. Definitely not 1 size fits all. Great product if it fits, as it gets rid of more than 60% of the strain on my hip and keeps all the connective tissues warm. Only other caveat is it feels awkward at the beginning of the nite, as it is somewhat stiff and feels like wearing a rubber band across the front of your thigh. After 5-10 minutes it loosens up & you get used to it. I've only used it 5x, so it may loosen up more over time. HIghly recommend if you don't have thunder thighs!

It takes a good bit of playing around to get it just right ...
Works very well to help provide support and reduce swelling. Much more supportive and easier to use as opposed to an ACE bandage or similar elastic wrap. It takes a good bit of playing around to get it just right and it is never comfortable sitting. It is starting to fall apart some after wearing it for a few weeks, but not to the extent that it is not still supportive. I'm guessing it would not be effective after a couple months of wearing it daily. However, I have searched far and wide for something better for the labral tear in my hip that doesn't cost over $70 and have found nothing. With the very low price of this one and it being highly effective, I'd buy another one before paying a much higher price for something else.

Ok brace ... but there are much better products out there
I am playing soccer maybe 2-3 times a week. I had groin problems for over 6 month and started to use the brace after having physical therapy. Here are my observation after using the brace for already 5 months Pros: + the brace gives great support on my groin muscles + used it 2-3 times a week for 90 min the last 5 months + no limitations when playing soccer + would not be able to play without Cons: + no instructions how to use the brace but you will figure it out + after washing the brace 1-2 times after usage each week, the brace is falling apart. Need to buy a new one After all I recommend the brace if you deal with groin problems. I suggest to buy additionally stretch boxers on top of the brace to avoid that the brace is falling off. Updated I changed my rating of this product from 4 to 2 because I switched to another product. In comparison to the product I am using right now, I would never get this one again. After washing it, it falls apart and cuts into your skin.

Just what I needed
Injured my right groin just over a week ago. Lots of bruising and swelling, as is usual with this type of injury. I looked at this product, and the other one shown on Amazon (Blue in color). However, the Blue one has almost a 30 day delivery schedule. So, the Cramer E6 it was. The material is Neoprene (think wetsuit fabric), so it is a bit stretchy. To put it on: * Hold the non velcro end, and let if fall between the legs * Place the tapered end just about mid-thigh and wrap under and over....the back under and over again. * As you pull the remaining end over, pull it tight. As the wrap is broad, i didn't a way to pull it too tight. * Wrap around the hip...higher or lower, then back around. The velcro should attach to the section wrapped around the thigh, not the section you just wrapped around your hips (this is important) The end result is that the wrap give you good support and stability. When walking, it aids in bringing the lef forward...almost like a spring. It is very comfortable, and can be worn all-day under clothing, or at the gym. Note: If you are looking at this product, then obviously you have a groin injury, or know someone that does. Along with this, buy the Under Armour compression shorts for leg support, they work really well. If not, wear any other type of compression shorts. Cons: Where the product wraps below the abs, is right across where you "hang" (men only), so you'll need to adjust left or right accordingly. After the injury heals a bit, and you are back to being more active, this is not a support that should be worn during any sports, as it will tend to slip and loosen in the thigh.

Very helpful for hip pain!
I would give this a 4 1/2. I only take off 1/2 star because it is a bit of a hassle to use--especially at first, but once you have it mastered, it is extremely helpful with hip pain! It really helps me to be able to walk whereas without it, I can hardly do that. I bought several because after using it every day for a couple months or longer, it does tend to get stretched out a bit because it needs to be a little tight ( you need to find the perfect tightness for you--it needs to be tight enough to give support, but not too tight as to cut off your circulation. It should be comfortable enough to move around in). But after a while it got a little stretched out and I found it wasn't giving me as much support as I needed. So if you are going to be using it every day for over a couple months, I would suggest getting another one to have on hand.
