Weird Looking But It Works

When I first saw this, I thought it was a sawed off 3rd grade recorder for school concerts. While it isn't, it does make beautiful duck music, "Oh come hither you tasty waterfowl and say hello to my little......" Seriously, this call is a great imitation of a Gadwall drake and has a nice earthy sound to it without being too raspy. It blows easy and I have had good luck with feeding and attraction calls to bring in the ducks. Does fine if it is wet or dry and comes apart easily for cleaning as do all the Duck Commander calls. This is my 6th call from these guys and while they are cheap, plastic, and esthetically less than the high dollar wood or turned acrylic calls, they sound just as good and I can afford to have 6 without explaining it to my..... uh, I mean I only have 3 duck calls. Yah, 3.

Great call!

My first gadwall call. Not much to compare it to in my experience. Does the job. Edit: I learned how to use it and it works great! The trick is to stick your index finger in the end so that about half of the opening is covered. This will give you the whistle effect and then removing your finger will finish the call with the nasally quack. Works great!

Great Call

This is a great call to add to your lanyard. Late season duck hunting here in Oklahoma presents many challenges because the ducks have heard mallard calls all the way down from Canada. This call give a different sound and we had several groups that came in on nothing but this call alone. I would recommend this call to anyone.

It's a bit on the long side, and somewhat clumsy hanging on the lanyard, but it sure does sound just like a Gadwall.

Great duck calls for real lifelike sounds.

I've been using duck commander duck calls for decades....long before anyone even knew who Phil Robertson was. Way back when he was just a local businessman working the trade shows. The reason why??? Because his calls sound the best and the most lifelike.

Gadwall Confidence

Another confidence call always helps; make sure to add one or more Gadwall decoys to give visual aid always helps. Nice to separate calls for Pintail, Green Teal and Gadwall. Very diverse call when separated then pieced as one unit for Gadwall.
