Important for remodeling.
This bit is one of those tool's you rarely need, and when you do, you need it now! I had to run new electrical wire in a cinder block wall from the attic, was a struggle. I tried various ways unsuccessfully I mite add. Before I found this bit. Was stiff enough to apply pressure yet flexible enough that I could get it where I needed in my short attic. Made short work of something that I fought for a week. Glad I have, price was great. Prompt delivery.

Great bit very handy
I needed to run a new receptacle over an existing fireplace which required drilling horizontally over the fireplace. This bit went through cinder block with ease. Also went through brick with a little more effort. I got the 1/4” shank which is great and does have a little flex but obviously not as much as a smaller shank. I have a wood drill bit with a 3/16” shank and that thing can make a 90degree bend and still drill a hole. You might be able to get a 45 degree angle with this 1/4” shank, maybe! But since I was drilling through brick I was glad I got the larger shank as it required a lot more forward pressure and a small shank would have been bending and flexing too much during drilling.

PAY ATTENTION: THIS IS A MASONRY BIT
As of this review, the title and specs do not indicate that it is a masonry bit. You can not interchange a masonry or a wood bit, period. Also, this is a good bit more rigid than it is flexible. A very good buy if you are needing to drill through masonry. They do mention the word masonry within the description and I do take responsibility for not checking closer.

worked perfectly
as you would expect, this drills a hole thru a 2x4 and into a large gap area and in my case an open attic space to locate a hole. very useful

Is it the bit or me?
I needed to drill a hole for an outdoor light fixture. The hole was to be frilled in a brick and mortar lamp standard about 4 foot tall. The bit worked good at first, then began to bog down. I was using a 1/2 hp hammer drill, which seemed to turn it ok but not great. The bit finally became stuck in the boring hole and was not removable. It broke in the hole leaving me without a bit and about a foot short of my goal. I don't know if it was the bit or my use of it because I have never attempted anything like this before.

Junk, Not sharp and quickly broke
Unlike most reviews I bought this to use for masonry holes. Unfortunately it was complete junk. I got one hole drilled and part way into the second hole it snapped clean off and was stuck in the cinder block. The bit does have a lot of flex so I kept the speed a little lower and a normal bit but it did a horrible job cutting into the block and then failed. Ended up being a waste of money for me and I can't even say I got good use out of it because I only had 4 holes to drill and it couldn't even complete the job. Wish I could return it and get my money back.

Works well for wire fishing seeker bit
Purchased to use for drilling into floor to fish wire up through crawl space. Plenty long enough to penetrate several layers of headers/subfloor, etc to find a route to fish wire.

Don't buy this item
Probably the lowest quality drill bit you could possibly find. Total garbage. Save your money.
