Fiskers products NEVER disappoint a crafter or seamstress.
I always look for the Fiskers name when I shop for anything related to sewing or crafting. They're always reliable and I never have to worry about it falling apart midway through my project!!! ❤ ❤ ❤???? ????

Perfect to use for light seam ripping
The media could not be loaded. I ordered this to more easily manage ripping the seams on quilted pieces and it works beautifully! I do feel the suction cup could be a bit stronger but that is also why I specify that it's great for light seam ripping. The cloth on my photos is a tank top and it worked well but I would not (as one user mentioned) count on it to use for heavier fabrics or clothing like denim/ jeans. I recommend using it oriented the same way as in my video, with the ripper pointing away from you. If you turn it towards you it isn't as easy to see what's coming up, whereas turned away you can see the individual strands of threads. With the seam ends facing up so you can hold it away and to the sides, you won't snag that cloth on the bottom point of the ripper. I would suggest adding a bit of water to the suction cup in order to get it to stick. I couldn't get mine to stay without that step. Be. Very. Careful. The ripper is very sharp and can easily rip a hole into cloth. There is a protective cap that tucks away snugly underneath the level to tighten the suction cup. All in all it cut down on the time I normally would have spent dismantling the tank top and it definitely is a breeze to use on quilted squares. All in all an awesome little seam ripper!

Poorly designed!!!
First off let me say i was excited for it to come! I mean its a friskars...it just had to be the tool i much needed! Otherwise my husband has always had to be my 3rd and 4th hands whenever i had to seam rip. Once I got it I was very quickly dissappointed! It did not work like I hoped! You only have 1" of work space from the table surface and the seam ripper NOT even enough working space! I had to put it pointing toward me off the edge of counter but it doesnt work...the seam ripper for me they installed it upside down! I had my husband pull out the seam ripper and turn it 180°! You can see in my pic seam ripper is not on the way it came it is turned!!!!!! Using it off the edge of counter isnt so bad since i have room to work with my fabric but cant get the thing to stay suctioned to any desk or counter surface so it is just useless!!!!!! Do not waste your money!!!!!! A very big disappointment!!!!!! ______________________________ ***They need to go back to the drawing board and remake it!!!!!! ***Needs to be alot taller from table top so you have room to work! ***Needs to be able to be able to flip 180° up or down choice of the seam ripper! ***Needs to stay put!!!!!!

Suction Cup Did not Attach to any Surface
I ordered this table top seam ripper because the product concept is great, makes sense, and would speed things up when taking seams apart. I wasn't too happy that the suction cup part of it didn't adhere to glass, wood, formica, granite, glass, etc. even with a little drop of water on the bottom to help it grip after a couple of failed attempts at gripping. Otherwise, it would be a handy little item to use when needed. Nice product I'm sure, if all systems are go.

For those that say it doesn't attach to any surface...
I took a chance buying this in spite of the reviews. But I have to say to all those that say it doesn't attach to any surface are you sure you are doing it right. The instructions say to flip up the little orange handle, then push straight down on it (meaning pushing down on the white square in the middle that the handle is attached to) before clamping it. This will make a tight suction to almost any surface. Maybe give that a try. I couldn't stand seeing so many blasting this nice little seam ripper when they do work and the suction is tight if done correctly.

Best seam ripper I ever used!!!
I am making a big quilt. I sewed a very long seam on wrong. It was kind of heavy to pick it out with my hand-held seam ripper. Then I remembered I had bought this! I locked down on the suction cup to hold it nice and sturdy. I had it about waist high on my cutting table. I lined the seam up and once I got started.....it zipped right through the whole length of the seem without needing to stop! What would have taken me at least one hour to do only took 3 minutes!! I couldn’t believe it. It was the extra hand I always needed. Great invention! If you have back-tacked at the beginning it might take a few minutes of picking to get it started but once you can start pulling those seams apart; it is smooth sailing.

Nice product
There’s a nice product and works well except that the suction isn’t very good, especially if the surface is not perfectly smooth. I tried it a couple different services and it didn’t stick very well.

Excelente descosedor
Facilita mucho descoser , la base tiene una ventosa para que no se mueva y poder utilizar las dos manos para pasar la prenda y descoserla rápidamente.
