Nice bright very durable light
Its a very simple light that lights the way. push both buttons to light it and then either side one click lowers the lumens till off. I have no complaints I dropped it and no problems and honestly this light is built very tanky. love flat designed lights they fit very nice in pocket, dont roll around and easy to set up to light an area.

Got this for a gift
I have a person who is hard to buy gifts for. He is an older gentleman, and I have noticed that he has trouble reading menus in restaurants. Mainly due to how dimly lit many restaurants are these days. In the past I offered him the use of my AAA Mini Mag-light for him to use and after brainstorming for a gift idea I decided to grab him a nicer pocket light. I purchased the FLATEYE F-310 along with the pocket clip as I figured it would make a great gift combo. As far as it goes, I can't rate the flashlight based on performance or battery life because it's a gift for someone else. I can say this. It's longer than I thought it would be, and since I was getting this as a pocket light, I figured it would be a bit shorter. I set it beside one of my larger heavy-duty work pocket knives and as you can see it's basically the same size. Both length and thickness, so it should still work as a pocket light fairly well, although it's at the very limit for a adult male. This is way to long for a kid, woman, or younger teenager to use as a pocket light. If the manufacturer could shave about one inch off it, I think it would be perfect for everyone, pocket carry. The only real complaint is the packaging. The manufacturer didn't consider this being used as a gift. When you buy an expensive light for a gift, you don't want to just gift wrap the blister pack /plastic packaging, you want to toss it in a box of some sort. Make it look a little nice. The packaging is 12 inches tall by 6 inches wide. You can not buy a box in those dimensions. Either the box is way too small, or way too big. The smallest reasonable sized box I can find to wrap this as a gift is a dress shirt box. Which is over kill for a product so small. Next time Flat Eye designs a box for a new product, consider that at $35 and above, as a gift, the packaging should fit in a common sized box. Like a 9X6X3 that can be purchased at most stores. Really my only complaint.

Durable but difficult
This is obviously well made and feels durable in your hand. On the positive side, I like the flat design. As a paramedic, I like to always keep a flashlight on me but I don’t want the bulk. This helps reduce that. However, a pocket clip would be nice. I don’t like the idea of it falling out of a cargo pocket or bag. The design itself feels rugged and I wouldn’t be afraid to drop it. I like confidence in my light. On the negative, the battery compartment needs work. It’s not easy switching batteries and there’s no option for rechargeable light. I like the idea of just plugging my flashlight into my car or ambulance to recharge before a shift. You can see from my photos it’s really not easy getting the two waterproof plugs out to access the batteries. This is from the first use and I used the biggest flathead I have. It’s already damaged. Soft aluminum vs a screwdriver doesn’t end well. I can’t imagine what these will look like in a year or so. If you’re batteries die, you’re in for a little process of changing them. The second downside I saw is that the light honestly doesn’t look very bright for how large it is. It’s a 1k lumen and it’s a hefty light. However, I feel like much smaller flashlights give out a brighter or equal projection. It just didn’t seem as bright as I thought. I do appreciate them not adding a dumb strobe in there like every other flashlight seems to do. All in all, worth the money but maybe I’ll go with something else on my next.

This flashlight will not roll out of position
So, I don't know why round flashlights are a thing? if you go to use them in a utility setting & you need the thing to stay in one spot, lord help you! the flashlight will have to move 1/8" out of place on you, no matter what you do, so instead of working on what you need with your flashlight, you'll end up spending 10 minutes of your life trying to position your flashlight in such a way, as to make it stay still. That takes a lot of time over a life time. With that being said, that's why I bought this flashlight. It's flat, it stays in spot. That & as far as I can tell, this is more or less the only product option on the market unless I want to buy a headband. I don't want to by a head mounted flashlight. I'm not a cave explorer. Could it be better? yes! a resounding yes. Like all utility/tactical lights on the market, it fails at quality of life features, or just having a good user interface. SO, what could it do to fix these? well it could go the route that "Survivor streamlight" flashlight went with their battery opening.. something like it. Having to fiddle with two screw heads, to get my batteries out sucks, & is slow. If I were in some situation where I wanted to restore battery life quick, I'd be SOL... with this set up. Another thing is buttons. This flashlight has the real-estate for a bigger power button, but not only that, a mode button. Does it allow one more spot moisture could possible get in? yes, does it improve my life a 1000 fold as the end user though? YES! I hate this crap with tac lights, where its "One ring to rule them all.." my bad, I meant "Button"... So I like the size of the flashlight ergonomics, I don't like how small, or hard I have to press the power button, I also don't like how one button that controls power also controls flashlight brightness. But I do like the fact that when I set my flashlight down to work on something, it doesn't roll out of position. IF this company released a product with the improvements I mentioned, I'd buy it in a heart beat. Edit I just wanted to say, these flashlights do not hold up to high temperatures at all. Don't ask me how I know, but I accidentally ruined my flashlight. That being said I'm going to order another.

Flat designed flashlight
This is the second time I have purchased this item. The firt one was the F-600 several years ago. I now keep this flashlight in my vehicle all the time. Battery life as well as the 3 different modes is perfect for me. The flat gesign is great. One of the best flashlights I have ever used.
