Great for Running

Excellent. Just what I was looking for for night time running. Light weight and doesn't move around. Bright in a low arc in front of you.

Powerful, small and comfortable.

Great headlamp that is so lightweight that you forget it’s on your head until you turn it on. Silicone headband is super comfortable and keeps the headlamp in place even while bushwhacking off trail. Everything I buy now must be rechargeable and this is, in spite of its small size. I’m tossing out my old clunker headlamps.

Received used/open box item

On the front of the package is says "Try me!". Apparently, someone did, didn't like it and returned the head lamp in the torn and opened package, which was then sent out to me as a new item. In addition to the package having been opened, the light does not operate - perhaps why it was returned? I will be returning this head lamp.

Very bright compact light

This compact headlamp is brighter than expected! It charges fast with the included charging cable and offers 4 hours of full run time on a single charge! It's perfect for night time neighborhood walks or working in compact spaces. Looking forward to using this light more often.

Nifty Headlamp

Great thing about this headlamp is the silicone headband. Mainly, once I adjust the sizing to fit my head, I don't have to worry about it bouncing around on my head and it doesn't get loaded up with sweat. Nice light output and easy to charge.

A headlamp for people who don't like headlamps

I received the Red color Panther Vision - GUMBI-Lamp LED Headlamp for review. I own dozens of LED flashlights and task lights, but I do not generally like headlamps because they are usually bulky, heavy, uncomfortable to wear, and often hard to operate. In contrast, the GUMBI-Lamp headlamp is extremely lightweight, comfortable, and simple to operate. I will use this headlamp often. From my testing, the manufacturer's claims for output and visibility distance appear accurate. On a night dark enough that I could not see a six inch tall orange cone sitting right at my feet without a light, using the GUMBI-Lamp headlamp on the 70 lumen High power setting I could see the cone from about 45 feet away, and in the 15 lumen Low power mode I could see the cone from about 18 feet. A basketball sized object was visible from about 60 feet in High power. For me, High power provides sufficient light for jobs like setting up a tent at a pitch-dark campsite, and Low power is plenty of light for virtually any close-range task at night. People who want a brighter light should understand there is an inverse relationship between output level and battery life: the brighter the light, the faster the battery runs down. I prefer a lower-powered light that lasts a long time like the GUMBI-Lamp headlight, which is good for over 10 hours of run time in Low mode. As much as I like this headlamp, there are things that I would change. Since I almost always use lights in one of the two lowest power settings, I prefer lights that start in Low instead of always starting in High like the GUMBI-Lamp. Recharging this headlight is a little inconvenient because you have to remove the lamp from the silicone holder, and then during charging the main LED repeatedly flashes twice (morse code I) throughout the entire charge cycle, which I found annoying enough that I had to cover the LED with some opaque black gaffer tape during charging. I would also like to know how many charge cycles to expect before the built-in and apparently non-replaceable battery wears out, but I could not find this information on the manufacturer's web site. But despite these issues and pricing that is towards the upper end of what I am willing to pay for a light with a non-replaceable battery, the GUMBI-Lamp headlamp is useful enough that I will probably buy more of them.

I really like the convenient and size

I've had a good number of head lamps and predominantly use them while camping. I'm not hiking in the dark and this is sufficient for walking to the bathroom, cooking, and navigating around the campsite. I like how compact it is. It is very comfortable. I have thick curly, hair and it doesn't get tangled. The battery power is good and it is easy to charge. Overall, I'm pleased with this and would order another. This would be a great gift.

Works well. Just kind of weird looking...

I don't have any real complaints - I wear it for walking at dusk/night and it does the job. But it does look a little funny -- though I guess any headlamp does and at least this doesn't have the over-your-head strap. I like that it does stay in place nicely while I use it and that there are 3 brightness settings.
