Strange vender name
It appears to be genuine, although I'm not sure how to tell. I didn't realize I was ordering from Girl Face; I thought it was from Franke.

Very happy
We use this with our Franke cold and hot water dispenser. The taste is noticeable better. Our tap water can have a slight funky algae like or chlorine order. The filtered water is fresh and crystal clear. For the bacteria paranoids you will appreciate the filtration level. You can research it on the Franke site. If the water flow becomes too slow for you, just remove the filter and brush off the crud on the outside of the filter. I wound up doing this after about three months of installing a new one. I measured the flow after the clean and it was like new. I do not do this cleaning regularly. I replace my filter every six months. I have been through about five of them. I have done the cleaning, mentioned above, twice. I used the app at first, but when the battery died I did not bother to replace it. The app was interesting at first, but after the novelty wore off I did not care. BTW, I have found Frankie tech support to be excellent.

Great Original Filter for FRC06 / FRC06-CAL
A genuine authentic filter for Franke filtering systems. Seems compatible with the FRC06-CAL (that is no longer required in California). Seems to work as good as the original. We get about 6-8 months out of ours before is slows to a trickle. We take it out and scrub it off with a tooth brush and get a little more life out of it, but just 1-2 months more. Fully replacing restores is to the flow we start to forget we had before as it slowly diminishes the rate of flow over time. But we love our Franke Little Butler (instant hot water & filtering), which uses the FRC06 / FRC06-CAL. If you live in California, they had previously been required to sell a FRC06-CAL version due to some extra criteria to be certified to sell in California, which apparently the normal one wasn't cleared. When I went to reorder this time, the FRC06-CAL is discontinued. I wish they gave an official notice that it is okay to use the FRC06 now. But a little internet research returned a story that the FRC06 is now cleared on California's site for certifying these, so they no longer need the other one. So I got the FRC06 this time, and seems the same as before to us.

Used this as a filter for my well water input to my “instahot” . Taking out the old one was a bit of a challenge, but I got ‘er done and just made it hand tight so hopefully next time will be easier. I’ll buy it again for sure!

Expensive but exchanges easy with no significant mess
Replace your filter with an original branded filter and don't worry about fit issues. I made it almost 2 years on my first filter, it finally became so slow I had no choice but to replace it. The new one took minutes to replace and I'm back at full flow with clean water.

Don’t Last Very Long
It’s easy to install. But the cartridges I bought in the last year don’t seem to last as long as they previously did.

I Usually buy this product through Amazon regularly and it last long time without cleaning it but the last one i just bought it had to be clean every 3weeks, i Believe this one was damaged or who knows why?
