If you are handy and comfortable with doing minor repairs, don't wait do this lint removal!
Dryer lint, who would have thought or gave it any? Just like any other appliance, like our cars, We just put in the key, fill up some gas or plug it in when you remember to and go about our merry way right? Who would have thought appliances we take for granted need maintenance? The audacity of it all right? Well, when it comes to your car, you don't maintain it, it stops running. With your dryer, you don't maintain it, well, you don't maintain it. Clothes take longer to dry and for some mysterious reason, the metal cabinet get much warmer than before, or so your think. Who checks how warm their dry cabinet gets right? In the Winter, its a plus to have this additional source of heat. This would be in a fantasy world, you know that one that someone else takes care of everything for you. The last time I had that I was living with my parents and a very long time ago. So let's get down to why you NEED to do this maintenance. Lint - tiny bits of fiber from your clothing that break off during the drying process and blows out that vent pipe connected to the back of your dryer. When everything is shiny and new, most of it probably blows out into the atmosphere or onto your expensive landscaping on the side of your house. But over time, like the layer of dust that is collecting behind your television or clothes dresser, it becomes thicker and denser. As it starts to build up, the surface becomes on a microscopic level a mountain range, with nooks and crannies like your favorite English Muffin affording more place to snag all those tiny bits of fiber from your favorite tee shirt or jeans. When you think about it, its like our arteries from choosing that delicious burger instead of that rabbit food of a salad. Getting smaller and smaller the openings. Well, there's hope and a cure, not for your arteries, that take a change in lifestyle and a bunch of exercise. So to help with both of that. Get this kit and extension in case your dryer vent pipe of more than 12 feet in length or like in my case only accessible from behind the dryer so I had to get the extension. Determine if A) you can get access to the exhaust end of the dryer vent outside your home B) how challenging it will be to move your dryer AND washer if necessary to gain said access. Things to have handy that will help depending on your home's set up. A ladder, a cordless drill or corded one and a long extension cord, flashlight, a shop vac with a 2 1/2" hose (your carpet vacuum will be overwhelmed by the garbage that will eventually come out so don't bother to try but there is hope, more on that later), someone to help move the dryer. So that workout I was talking about right? In my case, it turned out our dryer vent exited on the roof. But I did not know that at first. Some homes the dryer vent exit is obvious like when it is in the garage or ground floor level It is easy to see where the hose goes. On homes where the washer/dryer is on the second or third floor (good grief imagine carrying all that laundry up those stairs!) finding the drying vent may be much more challenging. In these cases, turn on the dryer and listen/feel at the external vents for air pumping out. If your is not on the roof like mine, get to the opening with the ladder mentioned earlier. Now we're working those muscles! Climbing up and down because you forgot to bring that flashlight and then later depending on the vent cover additional tools. Hopefully you can get that vacuum adapter into the outside opening. It may be covered by metal mesh to keep out those pesky birds from making a home rent free no less. If it is, you may need some tools to undo the screws or worse nails securing said mesh. Okay, I think you get the picture. In my case since the exit turned out to be on the roof on a two story home, going to the very top of the roof was NOT an option. I didn't wish to be a home repair slip and fall. Since this kit the vacuum adapter has a smaller port to insert the flexible rods and brush from the same side as the vacuum attachment. The instructions states this set up is not ideal but doable. Since I already removed both of the french doors to the washer/dryer room and started moving the washer (why the washer? Turns out in our set up, the appliance doors are reversed and so are the washer/dryer. It was a challenge as both our washer and dryers are on pedestals. Plus our washer is on rubber foot dampers that are glued down to keep it from walking. (see my other review on those) This meant I had to LIFT and move at the same time to move the washer. Well, there's that gym workout, I mentioned! Now the fun part, removed the flexible dryer hose, stick in the first flexible rod and connect the brush, attached the vacuum adapter, then the shop vac, the next section of flexible rod and then finally the drill. Turn on the vacuum and started the drill CLOCKWISE and started pushing it forward. Since I didn't know just how far the dryer vent was, I just kept connecting the next length of flexible rod until on the 6th one, I felt some resistance and didn't force the brush any further. I then kept running the vacuum and started the return trip for the rotary brush. Twenty or what felt like 30 minutes later, the final length of flexible rod was back at the vacuum adapter and it was time to see the spoils of all this drama and gym workout. Now it was time to muscle up and figure how to get that washer back onto those rubber feet and everything back together. I skipped my work out for the next day. PROS: less costly than hiring someone to do this job for you plus you own the tools to do it again the future. Heck, offer to do it for your family and friends for dinner or some cash. Simple to use and was straight forward. The dryer cabinet is much cooler and clothes come out more completely dry than prior to the lint removal. CONS: the vacuum adapter would not fit onto what I THOUGHT was our dryer vent outlet because of a non removable metal shroud that is attached under the stucco. if there was an angled pipe to attach to this adapter before connecting the vacuum hose would possibly remedy this. Cost is a little bit high for what you get but for what it does, its fair. OVERALL: if you are comfortable with moving your appliances and working an electric drill / vacuum then I recommend to get this and do it! Your clothes and utility bill will thank you.

An exceptional product, but not a one-man job!
We were at our wits end with constantly having to clean out the lint filter, or the dryer stopping every two minutes. We have a home warranty that we probably could have bought a new dryer for the many times they’ve come out to fix it and couldn’t. My husband was determined to get the lint out and we tried a number of different products. But this one, this one did the trick! The pile of lint you see in my first photo is wet and twisted tight! When we first started, we kept running into a big block, like a cement wall in the line. It took some effort, but the lint eater actually broke through that blockage with the little metal attachment in the second photo! We needed/used the tools in the third photo to get it done. And now our dryer works like a dream! If our situation wasn’t as bad as it was, this would be a five star rating across-the-board, easy to use, clean, and remove….But it was still a Great Solution to our problem! I highly, highly recommended this product, but for us it was definitely a 2 person job!

Easy to Use and Effective Dryer Vent Cleaning System!
I recently purchased the Gardus RLE202 LintEater Rotary Dryer Vent Cleaning System and was very impressed with its effectiveness and ease of use. The system comes with four flexible 3-foot rods that can be connected to extend up to 12 feet, making it possible to clean the entire length of the vent from the dryer to the outside... if your vent length is under 12 feet. I was initially concerned that the system might be difficult to maneuver, but the rods are flexible enough to navigate bends and turns in the vent with ease. The included attachments, such as the lint brush and vacuum adapter, making cleaning even more efficient. The only downside is that the system could be longer to reach longer vent runs. However, for the price and convenience, it is still an excellent value. I highly recommend the Gardus RLE202 LintEater Rotary Dryer Vent Cleaning System to anyone looking for an easy and effective way to clean their dryer vents. Overall, I give this product a 4-star rating and will continue to use it to keep my dryer running smoothly and prevent potential hazards from lint buildup.

Functioned as advertised
I had to clean a 20-foot section of 4-inch PVC ducting. It extended from the dryer in the utility room, dropped 12-inches into the house foundation, and ran horizontally to an external vent. I watched the YouTube video by Amplify DIY (dated 09/15/2020) and then ordered this kit, and extra extension rods. I removed the exterior vent cover and used a 3/8” drill, the vacuum adapter, a Shop Vac, and seven of the eight rods to clean the ducting. Clockwise drill rotation is key, as is electricians tape to secure the rod joints. Start to finish was 30-minutes. No issues.

Best Product For Cleaning Dryer Vent
Works amazing, easy to use and pretty self explanatory. I bought extra rods and they did the trick. For the negative reviews, it’s just weeding out the people that can’t change their own tire….

good and easy use product, extension is short, easy use, make sure you put the locking screw before sending brush down the vent.

Works great!
Much better than expected, and well worth the money. So, I have the impression that my house was built mostly from stolen and scrounged materials, and one of the very bad decisions made was to use white vinyl duct for the dryer... and then to have it go underneath a bath tub, down one floor and then out. So, two 90 degree bends (that I know of) and at least 18 feet of duct. This thing worked a treat on it and, considering the amount of stuff that was trapped in there, it might have saved me a house fire eventually. It was also very easy to use, and seems to be built very sturdily. The long brush you see in the picture is for digging out dust bunnies from under your fridge, dishwasher, etc, and it works great as well. It tends to walk a bit when it's on the end of the drill, of course, but is easily controllable. Seller shipped quickly, item is great. Highly recommended.

Works Great
Used it on my rental properties, works as claimed. Only thing above and beyond I did was to snug the two fittings with pliers and duct taped them together just in case they separated as an extra precautionary measure. Is that necessary? Probably not as when I did go to separate them it wasn’t easy with your bare hands. FYI, keep drill turning clockwise (forward) “Do Not” use reverse when cleaning as fittings will separate. My opinion is “Purchase it” you won’t regret it.

Probably not a great option for regular commercial use
Worked extremely well. Used it to clean a dryer vent for my daughter's recently purchased house, built about 15 years ago. "Check vent" light on her new dryer was constantly on and drying took forever. I worked from both ends, approximately 15 feet of duct and 2 elbows inside structure. Absolutely FILLED a large ShopVac with Lint, which had to be a significant fire hazard. Probably not a great option for regular commercial use, one of the rods twisted up cleaning the far elbow but is still functional. If your vent is more than a few feet long, you probably need to clean it. This kit makes it simple and clean to do, follow the instructions and you'll have no problem. Arrived on time and in good shape, has everything you need except a small amount of duct tape.
