Good value for the price

I bought these to ease some arm strain on deadlifts and pulldowns, not so much because of loss of grip. I don't really lift heavy enough weight to have to use straps, but overworking my grip left my arm sore any time I had to grip and pull, such as deadlifts, lat pulldowns, pull-ups, kettlebell work, etc. These are very helpful in that respect and take a lot of strain off my sore arm. As I had never used straps before, they took a bit to get used to, but now are easy to put on and wrap on the bar. My only complaint, and the reason for only 4 stars, is I have somewhat small wrists and the loop comes in contact with the padding material before they are completely tight around my wrists. That probably keeps my wrists a bit more comfortable, but allows some slack in the engagement with the bar. I think if you have large wrists, that would be a non-issue and these would be very comfortable and stable. I feel like for the price, these do everything I bought them for and if you are looking for some basic straps I think these are great. My son has some name brand straps costing twice as much, and I have tried his and found no difference. He is lifting almost 3 times the weight I am though, so maybe to him there is a difference!

Great straps

These are great straps for beginners who are new to weightlifting. I also use them for dumbbell lifts. My wrists are on the smaller side so there is a bit of extra wiggle room but it doesn’t impede on keeping your wrists stabilized

Exactly what was needed

My wife has been lifting regularly for about a year and she mentioned that holding the bar during deadlifts had become a limiting factor. She has tiny wrists and these straps are able to synch nice and tight. She immediately noticed an improvement in her leg and back activation during deadlifts. Highly recommend for anybody moving up in weight on a deadlift or hang clean.

Old reliable

Are there better straps? Sure. But have been using these ever since I first stepped into a gym over 20 years. No, I haven't uses the same pair for 20 years. But they're so affordable and reliable thay whenever I lose one or it gets worn down, I can easily afford and get another pair. But they don't sell these at my local Dick's Sporting Goods anymore so I get them here on Amazon.

Strong but starchy

The material gives confidence that it will handle the weight and support your lift. The material it is made up if starchy and rough but that doesn't bother me, it might bother other. The padding on the inside hugs your wrist when under load so you don't feel the fabric on your wrist just the soft padding.

I bought weight lifting straps on Amazon, but they turned out to be more than just ordinary straps. Putting them on turned me into the Incredible Hulk, complete with green skin and massive muscles. Just then, aliens invaded Earth, and I used the straps' power to defend our planet. With each lift and pull, I felt unstoppable. Even facing the biggest alien of them all, the straps held strong. I hoisted him up and threw him back to his own planet, victorious. If you're looking for weight lifting straps that can turn you into a superhero, these are the ones for you. Be prepared to turn green, though!

They do the job

We ordered the burgundy straps. Good quality and the padding was a pleasant surprise - this was the first pair of lifting straps I've had that had padding and I am no sure I'll go back to non-padded from here on out. Very happy.
