Best for lightweight cats/kittens

My kittens loved this window sill cat bed, also loved to play in it. As they got bigger and heavier, it honestly didn't look as safe... then one day the suction cups popped out and the cat bed collapsed with one of them on the bottom sill..... I learned the cups do fail after a few months and must be replaced. Their suction longevity will extend if you regularly wipe them with vinegar water and also the window, and re attach. A plus is that you can de velcro the beds without taking down the whole apparatus. It's a very good quality product apart from the above.

STURDY but very bulky!!

I’m a new cat owner so take this review with a grain of salt. I expected the item to be slim and fit on my little window but that was not the case. The platform is huge which is probably why the description says fit 2 cats. I have it set up on the sliding door; the instructions were simple and easy to follow. It took a while for my cat to like it but now he jumps up and down from it and occasionally sleeps on it as well. Also, what’s great about the design is that it can be folded upward to temporarily put away the platform and allow me to close the blinds if needed. It does say to take off the platform and redo the suction every month. Overall I’m very happy with the investment but I just wish it wasn’t so bulky and take up as much space as it does!

The cats love it.

Make sure to mount it properly. Clean the window and the suction cups before sticking them on the window and it will hold. My cats are both 8lbs each and they jump up and down and wrestle on this most of the day. They cuddle and sleep on it too. I am confident this will not fall if put on properly. I have had it for 3 months already and love it!

Cats obsessed.

I soaked all the suction cups in hot water for a couple minutes, cleaned the window, and had this thing up all in about ten minutes by myself. Cats will try to fit in the box and fail, which provides entertainment, so packaging gets full stars. First order of business: Put my heaviest cat on the top platform, ready to catch him (thank you for your brave service, Majora). Solid. Second order: Put my craziest cat, Winnie, on the bottom platform and let her, uh.. go. Pay very close attention to suction cups. Solid. Final order: Scan area for landlord. Clear. Release all the cats. Second heaviest cat had been watching the entire time, patiently waiting to get up in there, actual space for him with two other cats already on it be damned. Mr. Noodle looks like he'd be the heaviest since he's actually the biggest, but he's mostly fluff. Don't tell him I said that. Lucy, my lightest and chillest cat, remained light and chill and put her little paws on it for a second and got a couple sniffs before waiting her turn. Solid. Three cats on and one cat balancing on it? Soliiiiddd. Winnie continued to zoom around on both platforms for the rest of the day and has resumed activity this morning, all while at least one other cat was also on it. I have anxiety and windows from the 90s that are basically plastic and this thing still worries me 0%, so we've got full stars on sturdiness. Platforms are grey sherpa-like material on top, black scritchy canvasy material on the bottom. Soft and just a little malleable, not like a cardboard insert or anything inside them, which is good for washing. The hole has sewn edges and isn't going to fray/expand or anything. You can un-velcro these from each platform frame and throw em in the wash. Nice. Full stars on, uh.. platform.. goodness. I have provided photos of all the cats on the perch (except sweet Lucy) along with close ups of the suction cups because I know someone on this website is gonna say wElL I doN't kNoW aBouT the SUctiOn cUps. Understandable. Well, now you do. Bonus photo of Lucy due to honorable mention - her nametag is coming in the mail right now, nobody freak out. She's new here. Would I recommend this product? Oh yes. Have a good one everybody! PS - Please don't tell my landlord I have this many cats.

A little noisy

It's super cute and the cats love it but I have it in the bedroom and these chunkers make it creak when they get on and off of it, still worth it

Suction cups stopped working after 9 months

Initially I loved these so much I bought three in total. My cats loved them. They seem to be made with quality materials and were study. About 9 months in the suction cups stopped working on all of them. I went through all the steps they recommend to see if I could make them respond again, but no luck. Maybe it has something to do with user error- but I’m tired of fighting them. Really sad- both me and my cats miss these!

Good for bigger cat breeds too!

Was worried this wouldn’t hold my 7 year old Norwegian Forest Cat. He’s probably around ~15 lbs and he can sit on this just fine, even with his brother (2 yrs, ~10 lbs) at the same time!

The suction cups fail more and more often.

My young cat loves his perch but the suction cups fail at times. It was only once a month or so, now it's every week. I'm taking it down and getting a free standing one.

Great sturdy product, cats love it.

My cats love it! So many positives- Firstly it’s soo cute seeing them sunbathing there! Clear instructions to put it up, sturdy, washable covers and I can still put my blind down easily. Quick delivery too. I cleaned the window first, then the suction cups and dried them a bit with kitchen roll. I did have help to put it up but you can do it alone too. My 2 cats equal around 10kilos in weight and it’s taken the weight of them jumping up (& fighting) on it so seems very sturdy. Haven’t washed the covers yet but they look like they come off easily with Velcro. The only negatives, were one of the suction cups was a bit bent in transit I assume, but we just heated it with a hairdryer and it’s been fine. And the other is that the hole on the second level is quite big so the cat can’t stretch out as much, but they don’t seem to mind and can fight over bottom bunk. Overall I’m very pleased with it, and it keeps the cat hair off whatever they usually sunbathe on in the window lol.

Sturdy, easy to install

Arrived quickly. Super easy to put up. Definitely advise cleaning window before attempting to use suction pads. I especially liked that it could be used over 2 windows with a frame in between, as my window has small panels so I was worried about it not fitting the upvc frame but it does as you can see in my pics. I haven't managed to catch a pic of more than 1 cat on it at the same time yet but 3 of my boys have been on it at the same time and it was robust enough to handle their combined weight. I sprayed a little catnip spray on it to attract them initially and now they all love to snooze in the sun or watch the world go by on it.

Sturdy and Cats Love It!

I purchased both the single level and double level versions of this product. Both are excellent. Good suction and cats love it. They have taken the load and jumping of cats of heavy weight (5.5 - 7kg). It's rare that two of them use the double one together, but when both did once, the double version took their combined load of 12kg.

I'm a Cat and I Think This Perch is Purrrrfect

The media could not be loaded. It took my guardian furrrever to make a decision about a perch. She put a huge woodpile right in front of my window and I could hear the birds but couldn't see them. Meowwrrr! I could see her researching perch after perch even though she had looked at this one so I walked across her laptop, but she still was lollygagging. Finally the package arrived and I could play with the box while she put it together. First she washed the window and put rubbing alcohol on. Everything was going well until she tried to put the 2 firm suction cups on. I could hear her wrestling with it and boy did she sound mad. Finally she went online and read the instructions and realized she needed to rotate them and then press in. Then she was so happy. She readjusted them a few times to make them even and put some catnip on the levels. I of course pretended I didn't see it. But, I could only ignore it for so long and I cried and cried underneath it so she's lift me onto it. Can I jump 4 feet? Of course. Now I jump easily into it. But, I felt a bit nervous at first, plus I like making her feel needed. I love how soft it is and how I can watch everything going on while feeling hidden. I bite the straps and slam my weight on the perch but it never comes down. We just had -32 Celcius and I sat on it by the wood stove and looked out the window into the cold. At night, my Mom folds it up and puts the blinds down and in the morning I meow so she opens the blinds and puts my perch back for me to jump on.

A must buy

Absolutely fantastic. First off the suction is amazing and the top suction cups with the twist to create suction are amazing and I have no concerns. My cat loves it and spends most of his time lounging in it (when it isn't 31 degrees). Would and have recommended to friends.
