WORKS! EASY AND FAST! Excellent Gift Idea for Lovers of the Champs!

I bought this as a gift, however before I gifted, I tested it on a bottle of champagne. I followed the instructions, that is, I removed the foil and the cage, I placed the opener over the cork (top of bottle) then slid it down until it stopped; I squeezed the sides (very little) and POP! There it went! Safely it popped open and the cork was securely trapped inside the holder (as described and seen in the photo). Very nice and Smooth! So much so, I ordered another.

This works great!

We always seem to have a hard time opening champagne bottles. This product works every time! I think it might only work on corked bottles, but that is all we needed it for.

All that glitters is not gold

Maybe I got a defective one, but it was pretty much silver, not gold. Aesthetics aside, it does it’s job and makes opening champagne safe - if you are concerned about flying corks. Normally, tools that feel heavy in the hand is a good thing, but this opener just feels too bulky and excessive to warrant space in the bar cart. It has no wow factor, so it really is only good for safety purposes.

So easy to now open champagne bottles!

Wow!!! I could never open champagne bottles. I always had to wait for my husband or someone else. But not anymore!!! This is so easy to do even a kid could easily do it. Just put it through the top of the bottle and twist - pop! The cork stays inside the opener. Awesome! No more waiting for others!

Does not work

We tried this on multiple sparkling wine/champagne bottles and it does not work. Not sure if we got a defective one but the product in the box does not open champagne bottles. Do not recommend.
