Sturdy “one handed” cutter

Bought this as a “nice to have” addition to the tool box but, have used it many times more than expected since. It’s “one handed”, great for tight spots, sturdy, cuts chain link fence with ease and barbed wire effortlessly.

Well made effective tool

Bought this to remove "shiner" nail points from under the eves. Cuts the nails easily and flush enough that with paint touch up we don't notice all the mistakes the contractor made. Also cuts a variety of solid wire, fencing, etc. And because it's a Knipex it will last forever!

it works!

like others have stated, this was not my first purchase of a bolt cutter. This is, however, the first one I purchased that actually works. Awesome. This is also a very good price for this, saw it for far more elsewhere, confirmed part number is the same.

Good But...

For their purpose, for me it's cutting thick wire and sometimes all-thread, they're pretty good. However, cutting the all-thread takes a bit more elbow grease, but they get the job done.

Strong cutters.

These are good cutters, but they are not compound lever action like traditional bolt cutters. The blades are not totally flush either. It works well and seems to be made very strong so it should last a long time. It had no problem cutting about 1/8" mild steel bars from a small shelving unit.

A powerful durable cutter.

I needed something to cut off a couple hundred roofing nails close to a wood surface and these did the trick. They'll go right through a 16 penny nail.

You will not beat Knipex

I had to buy these because they were on sale. Knipex is not normally a cheap brand and the price is usually consistent with quality. In this case the quality exceeded the price. The cutter beats a bolt cutter by a different manufacturer which is much bigger. The cuts are crisp and consistent with minimum effort. I like the angled head as it allows me to cut close to surface.

high quality tool, cuts 1.2mm metal wire like nothing, no damage on the cutting blades, a bit expensive, but you get what you paid for.
