Beefy lock

It would be easier to cut the bike frame than it would be to cut this chain. This is a super beefy lock, it weighs an estimated 10 pounds. Definitely not something you would want to take with you on a long bike ride. The disc detainer lock adds a superior layer of security. It can't be picked without special tools & skills.

Peace of mind !

I bought this to secure my E-bike. It fits well in my trunk rack bag. It is long enough to chain around a variety of things, trees, poles, etc. The lock mechanism has worked smoothly for me thus far.

Very heavy

This is an excellent bicycle lock, but that comes at the cost of being around 20lbs. The 5 ft option had just enough length to wrap around my entire bike plus the post I’m locking it to.

Heavy Duty Bike Lock

I love this lock! Not only is it heavy duty but it is heavy. You will get a workout carrying this thing around. I had a shorter chain but this is long enough to go around a medium size tree and the bike.

High Level Security

So, here's how I came to be the owner of this behemoth of a lock. For years I just used a cable combination lock. Then I had a really awsome old Trek 950 mountain bike ripped off and went to a u lock and cable combo for my around town bike. Those systems work well enough to keep your wheels and frame secure. That is, if its just an older middle of the road type bike. So, your bike cost a thousand bucks or more? Dude, every scumbag in town is going to be eyeing your bike after you lock it and walk away...buy this lock. And a u lock. :) A note on seats. Make sure that you have a quick release on your seat and take it into the coffee shop or lecture hall or it won't be there when you return. Meanwhile back to this lock. I had seen this and knew it was HEAVY but finally bought this as the clincher on days when I'm leaving an expensive bike unattended. The chain is case hardened and almost impossible to bolt cutter since the links are made of square stock. Okay, obviously if a thief really wants the bike they could get it with a cutting torch. Generally speaking nobody will bother to get through this chain. If I scared you and you want the best, look at the New York Kryptonite.

5ft chain one month in already saved my bike.

Bought this chain about month ago And I have been using it on my new bmx bike I ride all around. I almost turned away from it due to complains I saw made about the locking mechanism jamming. I haven't had even the slightest sign of a lock jam. Although cylinder locks are a bit tricking in locking and unlocking if you do not insert the key fully and offset the cylinders. I bought the five foot chain its a bit heavy (probably around ten pounds) but I wanted to make sure I could fully lock my front tire and rear and frame to any post. Not even two weeks in to using it on my new bike, it already payed for it self . I was at the local library , locked up next to some pretty beat up bikes and a hr late I hear a guy saying they stole his bike, The nylon on my chain had a slash and that was all. So I am very pleased and confidant in this lock , would def recoment in to anyone who is in need of a medium to a high security lock.

No 3rd bike will be stolen

In through the back wheel, out and around the post, in through the frame, a twist to close, and those two things won't be going anywhere for a while. In fact, the post may be the weakest link. Note the NINE mm chain. It's pretty serious. In all honesty I think it's too serious for most users, and would recommend the 7mm (and much cheaper) version. I wear it around my waist when riding because it's easiest. While surprisingly uncomfortable at first, even more surprising is how quickly you completely forget it. It's over 5 lbs, and be sure to keep the lock to the side, or bumps may offer an unwelcome surprise. I have a 30/31" waist, and I may grind a link off it.. or two. EDIT: Tip, don't grind it!! Just twist the chain until it fits your waist. The extra links help locking to more stuff!! If waist isn't for you a good bag should do. 2 bikes were stolen, both cable lock and U-lock, and even if they get a handlebar or front wheel, there won't be a third.

Super robusta ma super pesante

Il prodotto è ottimo. catenone super resistente con serratura blindata e chiave non duplicabile. è il secondo che prendo e stavolta ho preso la catena da 1,5 mt di lunghezza. è un po troppo lunga, per legare la bicicletta a degli oggetti fissati a terra è sufficiente quella da 1,2mt. Attenzione al peso, la robustezza ha come nota negativa il peso notevole. nel complesso la consiglio vivamente. con l'acquisto di questa catena si puo usufruire del programma assicurativo Kryptonite: se riescono a rubarvi la bicicletta aprendo la catena, vi ripagano la bici.

Extremely heavy

This product is well made, however I didn’t realize how heavy it was going to be. I’m 80 years old and wanted this lock to chain my walker in the garage. For me, it was just unwieldy.

Ottimo prodotto per proteggere le tue 2 ruote (specie se elettriche)

Direi un buon compromesso fra il peso e la sicurezza, io l'ho acquistata per proteggere la mia nuova bici elettrica e quindi ho dato meno importanza al peso, chi ha una bici normale faccia attenzione perché non c'è niente da fare se vuoi una catena difficile da tagliare non puoi pretendere che sia leggera ... Comunque è possibile risparmiare sul peso acquistando la versione più corta. Da segnalare l'assicurazione contro il furto, in alcuni casi viene richiesto un contributo ma mi pare un'ottimo complemento all'acquisto io l'ho sottoscritta.

calzano perfetti! ho un 43 ho preso 43 una volta messi danno l'idea di protezione e robustezza. la scarpa rimane ben salda al piede/caviglia permettendo di cambiare marcia senza problemi e soprattutto di non rovinare la scarpa, non sono previste la punta in metallo e la protezione sul tallone ma cmq robuste
