Best Budget Mag Drill
The media could not be loaded. Bought this Mag drill specifically to drill 1" holes through 3/16 plate for a project I was working on and it worked perfectly. The magnet base is strong, the motor is strong. The chuck is nice and holds the annular cutter tight with 2 allen bolts. It has a cutting oil reservoir on it that will oil your cutters nicely throughout the cut. Handles come off for easy packing and transporting. I highly recommend spending the money to get good annular cutters, that's really what it comes down too. My drill will drill up to 2" holes and so far it has performed that with no problem. I've used it for ⅛ steel plate all the way up too ⅝ plate so far . I highly recommend this Mag drill if your looking for one ????????

100% as described
This is 100% as described. I paid $209 and it was exactly as expected. The oiler was stainless, had hoses, and all other items as described, that others have mentioned were missing. This is as good as a Milwaukee but roughly 15% of the price. I had historically used Milwaukee and have purchased 2 in the past and these are every bit as good. One item to mention that others I feel have incorrectly stated or misunderstood. The magnet is more than adequate, but you do have to connect it to an adequate amount of metal for the drill to hold to. In some of the pics and comments, it seems people may not be familiar with these drills and the metal required to anchor the magnetic base. This is really good and comes with a Weldon connection which was a $75 adder on my last Milwaulkee. Thanks for a great drill.

works good
Alot of the reviews I saw on this product were saying that not everything arrived or the magnet was weak and the bore was the wrong size so I just wanted to put my two cents in. Everthing that was supposed to come did, there were no missing parts and it was in good shape. The thing with these magnets is the thicker the material the better grip it has I would not use it on anything less than 1\2 in. when it is on a sufficient surface like .5" you ain't budgin it. The bore is the correct size I can put .75" annular cutters in and it works great. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because I don't like the coolant system, it works and is built well, I just don't like the flow adjustment knob, it's to hard to fine tune, but that's kinda being nit-picky. The customer service is awesome I have bought from them before and they were very helpful and polite and if anything is wrong or missing they will take care of it. All in all it is very much worth the price and I'm glad I bought it.

First Impression: Excellent for the price.
My first impression of how this mag drill runs and how solidly it sticks to my table is that for $185 I paid, no one should expect absolute perfection. What you get is a basic electric motor and electromagnet in a magnetic drill press that solidly works. Therefore it is worth five stars. The one small known problem about the product as I received it, is that I did not get the annular cutter that is shown as included in the package, but instead a regular drill chuck with a Weldon 19mm adapter (European metric standard). It seems to be of very high quality, so I'm not too unhappy about that. One really cannot expect more for the price. However, the fixed 680 rpm speed of the drill is too high for using the twist drill bits that fit in the ordinary drill press style chuck of the kind I received. Twist drill bits require slower speeds to work. So, excuse my ignorance if that is the case, but the second issue is only possibly a problem, as I see it. I have not yet tested for that. It is about the metric vs imperial standard (Weldon 19mm vs 3/4" shank). It seems that the drill takes Weldon 19mm shanks, so do the 3/4" shank annular bits sold on Amazon here in the US properly fit in the drill? I will certainly test that and will update here as I find out.

Worth the purchase
The media could not be loaded. Great purchase …using this drill to drill frame on a big rig and works great ..if you’ve never used it’s simple and rule number one don’t hot rod the drill let it take its time and always keep bit lubricated.. it’s cheaper to soak it in cutting oil than to be buying bits , .. there was a yellow body vevor drill that had great reviews only down fall was it was too fast so found this one same brand just that it has lower rpm’s and it’s exactly geared right drills holes as if it was cutting butter … only down fall is the water cooler mounts too drill it self so if drilling diagonally you will spill all liquid .. had a simple fix to that mounted canister to a magnet and can put where gravity will take off …

Not real happy yet can't use it yet.
Arrived early, yeah. But there was no hose for the lube reservoir to the drill head. Can't use it yet. The manual does not list the specs for model drill, but they are on the side of the drill housing. The picture shows a metal reservoir but mine is cheap plastic. The manual also states that there is a three month warranty, but no contact info. What the heck. What tube or hose should be used from the reservoir to the drill head? Update. Customer service has been working on a replacement part and they truly seem concerned that I am happy with this purchase. Unfortunately this product comes from the Asian shelf so it may take some time to get to me. I'll update as things progress.

A low-cost, low-quality mag drill, cannot use drill chuck without modification
This is a very low quality unit overall. It's probably fine if you only need a few holes from time to time, but it won't work for any sort of production work. Build quality is mediocre. The magnetic base works fine and has a fair amount of holding power. The drill itself is quite loud. Exceeding my expectations, it successfully drilled 16 half inch holes in half inch steel quite handily, so I've given it two more stars. This unit comes with a drill chuck, but when the rack is raised completely there is only a couple of inches of clearance between the chuck and the work, so there is no way to actually use drill bits with it. A partial solution is to remove the drill and rack from the base and swap the rack end for end. To do this you must undo the locking collar on the pinion shaft, and remove the pinion/hand feed assembly out of the other side. Then you can slide the drill up and out. Remove the screws holding the drill to the slide part, then unscrew the rack gear from the slide and flip it upside down. Then flip the entire slide mount end for end and reattach it to the drill. If you use only the top 4 holes instead of 6, you can get enough height to handle any drill bit. Works quite well that way.

Mag Drill is brill
I saw a utube video advocating for the cheapest mag drill on Amazon. The guy said it was pretty good, not perfect but more than adequate. Turns out it is and I'm one happy customer.

You better know what you are doing...
The product works fine but the instructions are a joke. Aside from the data sheet there are not enough words put together in a readable sentence that you could hope to gather some sense of proper assembly, operation or maintenance. Redo the booklet with safety in mind and diagrams to illustrate what you are not saying.

Great buy
Used it the first day out of the box. Worked like a charm and saved us a lot of manpower. looking forward to many more uses in the future.

Versatile
Functional and handy. Better than a drill press for medium scale fabrication. Bring the drill to the heavy steel instead of vice versa. Set up on fab table as a drill press without taking up shop space
