Cheerful, keeps great time, puts a smile on your face whenever you see it

This clock replaces a older version of the same clock that I've had for 10 years. I could never get Gumby's hand to wave on the old clock.....his hand started to wave as soon as I hung him on the wall. He looks great and keeps great time.

Semper Gumby

The world's favorite blobby clay dude comes home waving a cheery hello with this cool motion clock. The hard plastic forming the body seems a little cheesy -- something rubbery would have been more appropriate to the character. You may also need to fiddle with the two AA batteries a little to get Gumby working properly. The top battery powers his clock, and the battery fits very snugly in the battery compartment. I found I had to rotate the battery to get the clock to keep time. Otherwise I haven't had the issue others have mentioned of Gumby's waving arm making noise. I hear a soft ticking noise, similar to that one would hear from an old-fashioned mantle clock. No biggie. The instructions do insist on placing Gumby on a level surface, so maybe a tilted surface contributes to the noise problem. But minor quibbles aside, this clock is a cheery reminder of a beloved childhood companion, and I'm glad to welcome Gumby to my curiosity collection.

Just perfect!

I was looking for the perfect gift for my Pilates instructor who runs periodic "Gumby" classes that focus particularly on flexibility and stretching, and I found this clock on Amazon. Bingo! I ordered it and received it within just 3 or 4 days in perfect condition. Amazon always comes through, and it's always my first choice when searching for something . The vendors are always reliable. Kudos all around!

Exactly as described. Arm waves and everything! I originally purchased one of these clocks from a different vendor, but the arm didn't wave. I thought at first I needed to make an adjustment, but after receiving this one from Amazon, I knew the first one was just defective.
