Quality control issue

I have been using this shampoo for a few years. It definitely resolved my dandruff. Unfortunately the step 2 shampoo didn’t work for me in the past. I’ve ordered a lot through Amazon. One time they sent me the wrong product and bc it was too much of a hassle to return I know have an unused keratin treatment The last bottle I received looked rusted at the top of the applicator. There was rusty crumbles inside the cap. Needles to say I’m a bit grossed out.

Great Product

A little pricey but the results are worth it. Dry flakey scalp is controlled when this product.

Love this stuff!

I liked the old formula but I like this new one better for a couple reasons. I have curly hair and the old formula was meant to be used as a shampoo all over the head. It was VERY drying for my curls. This new formula only goes on the scalp and you only use it where you need it. I'm able to control my dandruff without drying my hair out too much. Also, I have seborrheic dermatitis (one version of dandruff) and most treatments for it are really toxic, like ketoconazole. This is not toxic and it works! I was able to use it while breastfeeding without having to worry about toxins getting to my baby. *Note: It must be used on dry hair and must be used for 2 weeks in order for it to work.

Bought two. Second one looked used.

The first bottle I used was full the top. I actually didn't have to squeeze it for it to come out. It didn't really fix my dandruff but I also wasn't good about doing the treatment within 2 weeks. I have very dry skin so I only wash my hair once a week. You need to do two weeks and wash 2-3 times a week. I thought I'd try again. This second bottle has black and brown on the nozzle. It also wasn't full. I had to squeeze pretty hard for it to start coming out. Photo is after I tried wiping the substance off. I think this is used or something else weird/gross is going on. I don't trust the product now. Overall: didn't work but also washed my hair once a week (used an entire bottle over a month). Smell is very strong like gasoline. Second bottle might have been used or something gross happened to it.

Not the best packaging but it works!

This tube is not the best packaging, and it takes a lot longer to apply compared to the old formula, but the results are the same. This works to clear my dry scalp/dandruff after just one use, and I don't have to use it continuously (I use every other time I shampoo to maintain). This product is the only thing I have ever found to be effective on severe dry scalp, and I have tried it all.

Works Like a Charm

Used this as per product instructions twice a week for two weeks. A little vague on these instructions, but I found them on the manufacturers website. The scent is VERY strong, but dissipates as soon as the hair is dried. I have tried every "drugstore" product to control the dandruff that I got after being pregnant and nothing made it disappear completely. This product did. It is a little harsh on the hair, so applying a good conditioner to the ends helps. Follow up with the Phylo daily shampoo to continue maintenance.

A disappointment compared to old formula

The old formula of this shampoo was perfect: very thin and watery, which was actually great: it could really get down in between all your hairs and cover your scalp; it was the best dandruff shampoo I've ever used; it functionally cured me. This one works fine, but not as well as the old formula. Moreover, it's a pain in the neck to use. So compared to the old formula, this shampoo is both more frustrating and less efficacious! A lose-lose. Bring back the old formula!

I wish I had tried this first. It is fantastic!

This product is fantastic! I can’t believe I ever wasted my time with “normal” anti-dandruff shampoos. I almost didn’t buy it because I found it to be a bit pricey, but it is worth three times the price now that I see how it works. I want to give the manufacturer a big hug!
