Died after 13 months.
I love the look of this coffee maker. Takes up less room on my counter than my old Mr. Coffee which finally stopped working after a number of years. Just a nice, clean, slim look. Does take a little more effort to put together than a French press or drip coffee maker, I'm getting more efficient at that. But I can't get the flavor of my favorite coffee that I was getting with the Mr. Coffee. There is a taste I do not care for and do not know what is causing it. Instead of a smooth cup of coffee, this produces more of a harsh, not quite metallic taste. I have tried a number of different combinations: using a different brand filter, folding the filter over the outer edge of the basket rather than over the coffee, adjusting the number of tablespoons of ground coffee, using very cold water right out of the refrigerator, or putting water in the maker the night before as I always did with my Mr. Coffee so it is at room temperature. But that taste is always there no matter how strong or how weak the coffee is. I have made coffee at the same time in a French press, or put the basket from my Mr. Coffee over the Mr. Coffee pot and slowly poured hot water over the grounds. These two approaches do not end up with that taste that I get from the percolator. The flavor I love is just not there. Maybe the water is too hot? Another reviewer mentioned that a course grind coffee works best. Unfortunately, my current favorite coffee only comes in one grind which works great for drip coffee makers or a French press. I will see if I can find a coffee I like that is available in a coarse grind to see if that takes care of the problem. At any rate, I do like that this does not have an automatic shut off, which was something I did not care for on my Mr. Coffee. So, on days I drink tea or make an instant cappuccino (I always have more than one cup of either), I won't have to reheat the water in my stove-top kettle. The water will stay hot until I unplug the percolator. Very nice. --------------------------- OK, tried another coffee favorite, in a drip grind, this is a flavored coffee. I didn't use a paper filter this time, as recommended by one poster. The first cup was very good, the last cup was mud - a courser grind is needed to use without a filter. Next pot I used a Mr. Coffee filter, cut a small hole to fit snuggly around the stem and pressed firmly in the basket folding over the top edge of the basket. Made a very nice cup of coffee. However, it does keep cooking the coffee (the Mr. Coffee does not). By the last cup maybe 1-1/2 hrs later I had to add hot water to dilute and the taste had changed. I still like the pot but unless I make 2 cups at a time instead of 6 I will use it to keep water hot during the day to make tea, instant cappuccinos, and coffee in my French Press. Wanted to buy another Mr. Coffee but from reviews, they don't appear to be made as well as the one I had for years. ============================ Update: the Presto died about 1 month after the 1-yr warranty expired. Warranty says "designed and built to provide many years of satisfactory performance under normal household use". I only used it to heat water after using it for a short time to make coffee, did not care for how coffee tasted when percolated. So, heated water and used a French press. Now back to using my stovetop tea kettle. I have not had luck with any electric coffee product since the Mr. Coffee I had for many years died. They just no longer manufacture products to last.

Excellent 6 cup percolator!
I don't normally write reviews unless I'm thrilled with a product and I'm loving this smaller size Presto coffee maker, which makes 2 - 6 cups or 3 mugs of coffee. Since I'm the only one in the household who drinks coffee, this smaller Presto is perfect for just me. I make 4 cups in the morning (2 mugs) and 2 cups later in the day (1 mug). I also use disc size filters (thru Amazon) and put one on the bottom of the basket and another on top of the coffee before I start brewing. The wraparound filters Presto recommends are too big and cumbersome so use the disc size ones for 3" - 3.5". Using filters will keep the coffee grounds out of your finished product. It takes about 3-4 minutes to brew and comes out piping hot, which I love. Before I bought this, I used the smaller (4 cup) Farberware percolator and it made the weakest and worst coffee. Then I tried a Keurig machine, which I still have but it's in the closet. The coffee wasn't hot enough and the pods are very expensive unless you fill your own. While convenient to pop a pod in, the coffee just wasn't the same as my perked coffee. Once again, I'm happy to find this Presto one and feeling rather perky about it (pun intended) -- I highly recommend it!

Nice percolator overall
The only thing I didn’t like so much is the gasket that goes around the inside of the lid of the percolator does not stay in place well. If you don’t make sure the gasket is in the lid correctly every time, the coffee will turn out weak.

Great coffee percolator
This one makes good strong coffee. Glad I found this as there are so many yoptions to choose and we never know how it works. In fact I had to return one of the highest rated percolator as it was making very diluted coffee. One minor issue though not with the product itself. I might have got someone’s returned item. It is ok as I also have returned different brand one which may end up in someone’s home :-). Price reduced a bit a week after I bought but Amazon did not adjust the price as Costco does with in 30 days period. They asked me to return and order new one. It is not worth the hassle for me.

Like everything about it EXCEPT you’re supposed to use a filter & I DON’T like that.
Love the size, flavor is very good, keeps it hot BUT it never stated that a filter is required & even the ones sent with the pot do not fit in it. I’ve been using it without a filter but sometimes there are grounds in my cup. My last percolator did not require a filter. Would be a great product if they improved this flaw!

My Coffee Preference _ PERCOLATED
Years back I purchased the 12 cup percolator, which I really liked but after many years of use the cord snapped. Seeking out an replacement on Amazon I came across the the 6 cup mini percolator AND omgosh it's PERFECT.....sleek looking, perc's great coffee and takes up little storage space. My take away, don't let the size fool you....the performance is right up there with the larger one. Ooooh one more thing, the cord fits the 12 cup percolator, so this purchase was a double win for me. Cheers.

Too small
It claims 6 cups but in reality, only produces 2 and a little bit in mugs. Great coffee. I returned the 6 cups for a 12.

Great quality product!☕️ As a coffee snob I'm happy I bought it!!
The 6cup size is perfect for me! This is a strong, solid quality percolator. Electric cord can be detached for easy cleaning. Also came with a small sample of filter papers where you can simply cut to place inside metal coffee basket. Extra fine grind + filtered water + 1-2 scoops of extra coffee is ideal for me. After 1-1.5hrs later, the coffee still HOT with no rancid after taste as it does with my drip ☕️ maker... Love-love!????☕️????

Good coffee maker
Just know it is small. I would say it’s a 4 cup
