Well made and complete fishing kit that tucks away nicely under any car or truck seat.
I purchased 2 of these QudraKast Fishing Rod and Reel Combos in Blue. I got these 2 combos on an Amazon Lightning Deal and couldn't be happier. The reason I purchased 2 kits was because I bought one for my Son as a birthday present and one for myself so that I could teach my Son how to fish just like my Father taught me how to fish many years ago. I didn't want my Sons kit to be a Childs kit. I wanted him to see that he was using the exact same rod and reel combo that I was using to make him feel important and confident. Both of the kits that I purchased were in Blue and Black colors. A very nice color combination that has a very professional appearance. The fishing reel is blue and black and it matches the blue and black fishing pole nicely. The rod extends nicely and does not bind up when you extend it. The reel has a very nice feel and the bearings used in it spin freely. The handle on the reel is reversible so that you can change the side of the reel that you are most comfortable with. Everything feels comfortable in my hand with a professional feel and appearance. The reason I chose this kit from QudraKast was because I wanted a nicely packaged fishing kit that included everything I would need to just take it out of my truck and go to the lake when I was given the opportunity. That meant that I needed a telescoping rod that would collapse to a minimum length in order to keep it tucked away under my seat. This telescoping fishing rod served that purpose perfectly. But I needed more and this kit provided that also. I needed a nice reel that had good bearings and would spin freely and have a reversible handle so I could move the handle from one side to the other when I needed to. I also needed the kit to have some tackle such as hooks, weights, lures and fishing line. This kit provided ALL of those items also. In addition to all of these requirements, I needed the fishing kit to come in a box that would easily slide under any car or truck seat. This kit came in a flat box which had a nice form-fitted foam insert that had cut-out sections perfectly molded to surround each and every component of the kit with a custom fit. So with all of these requirements I needed for a nice fishing kit that included everything I needed, that is why I chose this well-made fishing kit by QudraKast. I have many fishing rods that are of professional quality but because they are so long and do not collapse like this kit does, it is impossible to take it anywhere unless I dedicate a trip just for transporting my fishing gear. This very complete kit makes fishing on any vacation trip a joy and I do not have to have my pole hanging out of the car window or hanging out of the back of my truck. I can neatly tuck the rod, reel, tackle and the foam storage compartment under any car or truck seat and forget about it until I need it.

A Little Complicated
I didn't really know what a spin-caster was; so I bought it inexperienced. Was a little difficult to figure out, but after I did it works fine. Haven't caught anything yet. The line gets twisted up on the reel quite often, that's probably just me, though.

usable but just ok
Good starter kit, the price is cheap and It is convenient, I have casted relatively heavy lure 0.5 oz and it handles it. I really like the rod, except I would loctite the cap that threads on the bottom that holds the sections from coming out. Mine got lost quickly. I think it is ok but I didn't want to use the line nor the lures that come with it, they seem fairly low quality and a bit large. They don't come with a lure case and the box takes up serious amount of space. The reel is ok, the drag works, I put my own fluorocarbon line, but it seems often the line often go behind the reel into the gear which makes a mess. It could be that I put slightly too much line, but it was not worth the time dealing with the knots or losing of lines. So I like the rod quite a bit, but I will just get another similar telescoping rod and another reel. Since I won't be using the lures this was a better use of money.

Good if you have reasonable expectations
Just for ref seems to be Ghotda brand with better paint job going by the model number. I just wanted another telescopic rod to throw around and figured I'd get one for Crappie. Got the 9ft one. Has feeling of a bream buster which is kind of what I expected little thick in the hands but manageable, can stand a good bend and bounce back. Be careful with eyes they will slide off(the end one is fixed on good just the others) but also easily slide back in place so no biggie there. Reel was bad tight when I got it. If you spun it you would only get 1/4 turn before it just stopped. Support recommended oil and a few other things. I fig you got to open up to oil it so I just took the gears and reseated them along with the plastic bushing. The bushing must have been putting pressure against housing cause works good now. Reel did have plenty of oil though. Feels about plain Shakespeare quality. Love the glow tip donno why but I do. To not mess up eyes be sure to twist the fiberglass sections so eyes don't tap each other. Also love that the handle extends I didn't realize that at first. I agree with other reviewer that the reel will slide side to side in the rod if you try but I don't notice it much, I assume they carved out the hole big enough to put larger reel in it's not a tightness issue just a freespace thing. Really bought for rod but had to get kit to get size I wanted. Tackle is ok. Little better than you would expect for beginner kit. Kind of like the plastic ones at target. So 4 stars cause it has a niche that it fills but did have to work out issues. I will prob get some thicker grease and see if I like the reel better after that. It's good now but not as smooth as I would like but now will free spin about 3 times if you crank it and let go so right at Shakespeare's norm. Oh this does have all the ball bearings and all like the other brands they just don't put all that in the description I found more description of the reel by looking up the model number. Will also say reason I got this over others was the lack of pole snapped reviews the others on amazon have so I don't mind it being a little heavier.

The packaging was top notch. Comes lined in thick foam. The reel feels very smooth and the rod is great too. My only complaint is the reel handle is awkward to handle because it’s a plastic cylinder style instead of rubber paddle style but all around good set for price.

Very late to review but this fishing rod has been amazing so far, I grabbed this late last summer to bolster my options. I'm someone that goes fishing on the Thames and coastal. With this rod, seeing the price and material I was skeptical but after landing a 21lbs ghost carp and 12lb pike I've got no issues. The reel is a bit temperamental but still gives you a smooth cast, have no issues with drawing the line back in but the size is my only issue. With the tip this rod can also be perfect for ledger fishing aswell as coarse which gives me the option to switch between using floats and weights. I really don't have any complaints tbh, it's held up, it's not degraded and I'm still looking to take this up Scotland this summer. 1 word of advice, any fish above 15lbs, take your time and just be patient because you will notice the strain sometimes where the fish put up a fight but for the price, this isn't just a begginers rod seeing as I've been fishing for over 13 years now. Would highly recommend, don't use the the frog lure as after a few strikes from predatory fish it literally disengrates

Don't expect the world for £43 & you won't be disappointed
Excellent value for money & better than I expected it to be to be honest. Does the job perfectly well for a beginner or kids, experienced anglers will pick faults, but what do you expect for the price. You won't be disappointed if you don't expect the world simple as that.

You know what? I really like it...
Arrived in good time, easy to assemble and appears to be really good quality for the price... I bought one because I keep being told fishing will help my stress levels lol now I don't know the first thing about fishing (yet) but the rod and reel definitely look like they will work... Some of the lures seem a bit toylike and I'm fairly sure the fish will be amused but all in all I'm very happy with this purchase... Only let down is the carry bag, it's not big enough to put the reel in so I'll need a separate plan for that and the hooks and lures and other cool looking stuff....looking forward to trying it out now...

Its ok, for smaller fish.
The media could not be loaded. Big ol carp got hooked on my line, put up a huge fight and it snapped the rod right in half. Its not a horrible fishing rod, I just wouldn't expect it to survive a larger fish that puts up a fight. At least I still have a the reel.
