Fun and Engaging

Love these! I got them to use with playdough. They work very well, are easy to use, and the detail on the animals makes them fun! My 2 and 3 year olds like them, too! :)

Worked great...once

My kids and I made absolutely adorable animal cookies with these. The designs are great. It was a great activity. The kids needed help learning how to use the pressing mechanism but even the young ones (3 1/2 and 5 year olds) were able to make cute cookies with little assistance once they got the hang of it. One difficulty was that some animals came out much better than others. Certain animals consistently got more stuck on the dough while others slid out easily. Predictably, we had a lot of bent and broken giraffe necks, though the giraffe was actually one of the easier animals to make and once the necks were reattached, they were sturdy after being baked. The real issue was cleaning. It didn't come with any instructions or advice. I used an old toothbrush to get the dough out of the small spaces in the designs. Then I realized that dirty water was getting stuck in between the parts (each cookie cutter has an outside piece to make the shape and then an inside spring-loaded part that presses the pattern into the cookie.) I would even pay double if they could figure out how to make the inside piece removable so you can clean and dry them properly. I was too worried about the possibility of gunky water getting germy or moldy inside, so these were basically disposable as far as I'm concerned. I think it would still be worth buying if you're making an animal-themed kid's birthday party or something. But not really worth it for occasional household use which is what I had in mind.

Great cookie / playdoh cutters

These are a bit small but are perfect for playdoh. My 2.5 yr old loves them. I read some other reviews saying that they don’t come fully apart for cleaning, which is not true. If you unscrew the metal handle from the plastic piece the entire cookie cutter will come apart in pieces. Just clean and reassemble by putting the stamper piece back inside the cookie cutter and screw the handle back on. While I’ve only had them for about two weeks they’ve been used several times and they seem pretty durable so I hope they last a while!

Better than expected!

I was hesitant to buy these because I never bake and didn't exactly know how to use these ("push out"...what does that mean?) But I am so happy I got them. I use these with my kiddos in therapy using play-doh or kinetic sand. It is so perfect! Sometimes they push the animal out, but mostly they just stamp it in and they come out so clear and detailed, allowing for more language than typical shapes that just have outlines. This was a score! If they make more with different animals or objects, I will be getting them. Thanks!!

Great for Play-doh

I used the cookie cutters for play-doh. 2 year old loves it so much. Easy for him to use on his own. Impression comes out clean ans clear.

Cute and easy to use

Fondont was used and the you need to add the animals just before eating. We had a few left and they didn’t stand up in a container started to melt

Bought these to make fun sandwiches!

I purchased these to make fun little sandwich cutouts for my sons lunch for school! They work great for this purpose; my only complaint is that they are a bit small. But I know this isn’t the intended purpose of them (they are meant for cookies!). As a cookie cutter, they would be awesome - really cute designs and high quality product.

Could not return

These cookie cutters are better suited to mini cookies, they are not even close to big enough. I cannot return them because they shipped through UPS even though they shipped to me through Canada Post. The closest UPS location for drop off is 2 hours away. What a disappointment. They were supposed to be a Christmas present for my Mother-in-law, as she loves to bake with her Grandchildren.
