Needs better directions
I would STRONGLY recommend folks apply a layer of soapy water to the handle before pulling the plastic core strand out. Once the rubber collapses, the friction to remove the core is increased exponentially. Then there is a very good chance the plastic core strand will break between the handle of your tool and the rubber surround - making it VERY difficult to continue the install process. My two cents.

Good Hand Grip Replacement
Works ok. Need to be very careful during installation to position were you want. Ordered three, one came with half the grip missing lengthwise. It was evident it was packaged that way. Returned for replacement. Easy to return, replacement was promptly shipped.

Easy to use and versatile
So easy to use. For my purpose I was able to slice through the grip (not the plastic coil inside) to get two used out of the one grip. When I had pulled the inner coil far enough for the first half of the grip to be released I stopped pulling, removed the remaining section, and placed the remaining half in a box for future use.

Will NOT work on curved profile such as a walking cane grip
Because of my weak hand strength I wanted to improve the grip on my InvaCare walking cane. I bought this re-grip because the description stated, "...Re-Grip uses strong, durable material to provide a safe and comfortable non-slip grip to any tool, handle, lever and more." And it also stated, "Re-Grip improves the handle grip on a variety of cylindrical and semi cylindrical objects such as hammers, wrenches, ...". Further more, no where did it state that the product would not work on a curved profile such as the grip on a walking cane. So I felt confident a re-grip would solve my problem. Because the diameter of the cane grip is approximately 1.375", I ordered the large re-grip which accommodates handle diameters from 0.98" to 2.0". When it arrived, I installed it on my cane and was utterly disappointed with the results as you can see in the three pictures I uploaded. A re-grip may yield wonderful results on a straight handle, but completely fails if the handle has even a mild curve to it. I will be requesting a refund and would like to be contacted by re-grip.

Steep Price - Great Product!
At First sight this sleeve seemed way to big, despite the diameterr rating on the box. But it worked perfectly as described. I would say that when positioning, the end of the handle will be slightly longer than it seem, but I was able to slide it into possition after completely installing. But five seconds later the handle was rock solid in place. It ain't budging. Pretty sweet idea, but daaaaang, the price is outrageous! Use this handle to finish off my gator hunting harpoon.

Easy to Install and high quality
I really appreciate how easy these were to install. They result in high quality grips that really protect the hands. I installed them on my wheel barrows, pick axes, sledge hammers and hedges clippers. Very satisfied with the results.

WAY to hard to install
The write-up of these says these are easy to install -- "Slip It; Zip It and Re-Grip It". Well I bought one of the large ones to re-grip the handle on my vacuum cleaner and it was a bear to install. The vacuum cleaner handle is not really round - it is sort of a squished round but it is a regular shape with no hand grip dimples or such. It unzips reasonably well for about 1/3 of the length. As you are unzipping the rubber is contracting and clinging tightly to the object you are re-gripping. By about 1/3 of the way down the 7-inch length the rubber is also clinging so tightly to the plastic you are unzipping the plastic becomes very difficult to pull. I clinched a vice-grip on it and that helped for a little more length. Then it became a no-go. So I started unzipping from the opposite end. When I got to the point where I had about 2 inches in the middle I was pulling on the vice-grip with both hands and all my weight. After working on it for about 1/2 hour I (tired and sweaty) finally got to the point where it was completely unwound and there was just a straight line of plastic to pull out but it looked like it had a half-twist in it and it wouldn't budge. So I got out the hair drier and heated the rubber up for several minuter and pulled with the vice-grip again. I had to do this 3 or 4 times before I finally managed to get the last strip of plastic out. I do like the resulting grip on the handle but it was definitely not worth that much work and certainly not "as advertised". So, unless you are willing to put in a lot of work to get the new grip on, look elsewhere.

SIZING CHART IS OUT TO LUNCH!!
I bought this product to re-surface the grips on my motorcycle which are roughly 1-1/8" in diameter... The red RE-GRIP advertises that it will shrink down to 0.88" ... well it doesn't... not even close! The smallest it got was about 1.2" , after letting it sit on my workbench for a week! I didn't bother trying to return the product as I had already discarded the packaging. DISAPPOINTED
