Great Shoe Shine Brush
You'd think finding a good shoe brush would be as easy as searching for it on Amazon and picking the top link, but not in this case. Apparently a lot of people want really cheap shoe shine brushes and the market has responded by cutting costs by shrinking the size of the brush and using poor quality hair materials. So I went on a quest and dug through pages of Amazon reviews and finally came across this brush which looked decent in pictures and the reviews indicated matched my needs. It was exactly what I was looking for, a very nice size, appearance, and bristle type. The bristles stay in very well and the price was competitive when I bought it. If you're looking for a better brush, get this one. In fact, if you're looking for any brush, get this one. A few more dollars is not a big price increase and you'll appreciate the difference in the long run.

Great brush although it sheds quite a bit
This is a hefty brush with soft bristles. I am accustomed to using Kiwi brand brushes, and this feels like a substantial upgrade. I don't think the size will be an issue for anyone except those with abnormally small hands, like tiny children. The wooden part of the brush has depressions on the sides where you grip it, and it is also slightly curved. The subtle curvature makes the act of polishing a bit easier. The only real negative is that it does shed quite a bit, but the brush does have plenty of bristles, so I'm not terribly concerned about it at the moment.

Excellent Soft Hair Brush for the money
I bought two of these. One for Black and one for Brown. I use them both every weekend. I can't really compare them as prior to buying these brushes, I went to Nordstrom every week for shoe shines. I can't think of much to say about a shoe brush but I will say this. This appears to be of fine, durable quality and it doesn't scratch the shoes. Every Monday, when I start my workweek, I feel well-groomed and well-dressed, thanks, in part, to these brushes and top quality Allen Edmonds Shoe Cream type polish. I'm only giving 4 stars because I haven't compared to any others. You can buy this brush with confidence.

Big disappointment with the brush
Big disappointment with the brush. Although the handle is bigger than an average, Kiwi run of the mill brush, the brush material is just too soft for my tastes. I figured this to be a strong brush I could use to break down a polish. Instead, it only works for me as a rather dullish buffer and even that is only a go when the shoe already has a strong shine and just needs to be buffed out a bit. As a result I'm still waiting for a new brush to replace my Chicago Club which wore down after years of abuse. That old guy lived through my Army days and I mean that almost literally. It got drafted too. It shined the hell out of my old issue boots and low quarters. Then it returned to civilian life and kept my shoes looking good. It wore out after about 30 years on duty. Wish those were still around. I say that because I'm a person who takes shining my shoes seriously enough to wanting the best materials I can. Brush included. This version fails muster. Too bad, I was hoping it would live up to the hype. The search continues....

Good. Use one for each different color of shoes. These are a good size, width, thickness, and have a good solid bristle feel. Recommended, and I'm planning on buying more for other color shoes as I phase out my old brushes. Only ding is that they're a touch pricey.

Excellent brush.
I've been using this for a couple years. Durable, high quality brush. I like to add leather conditioner to my shoes before I take them off (so they are warm), and rag some polish on... then take the shoes off and come back later (but before they are cold cold) and brush them. The question you should have is why use a brush. I think buffing with a brush like this does a better job of evening out the polish than a rag. It also leaves a soft, pleasant shine. You can then go for a high spit-shine with a rag if that is what you are after.

I use this to brush three pairs of redwings I have. When using mink oil it leaves some white residue, this takes it off and shines it to a satin finish but not to a high gloss shine.

Good Brush, Shines Well.
Good horsehair brush. Shined my shoes up nicely after polishing. The only criticism i will add is that these types of brushes could use a good bevel on the front and back underside of the brush...where the bristles are. Sometimes that part scrapes the leather... After a while you get so good that it occurs rarely, but its still an annoyance. Just a design flaw on the shape, nothing against the manufacturer or amazon. Also, when first used there will be a few bristles falling out. Would buy another one any day. Worth the extra $$, as other brushes don't compare. Now Go Get Your Friggin' Shine-Box! (GoodFellas)
