Perfect seat for our shower upgrade.

While upgrading our shower (goodbye new but ugly fiberglass unit) we chose this beautiful safety seat for my handicapped wife. It is great, perfect in every way. Since we were upgrading our shower it was the task of the contractor to install and he made it look easy. Our wall studs are on 16" centers but the contractor added 2 x 6 boards between the studs to reinforce the position. He noted that we should be careful when being seated, don't 'flop 'n drop' onto the seat. Althought the studs will hold the weight, the slight vibration from the "flop" could vibrate into the new tiles and could possibly crack one. Just be careful.

great bath seat

we just finished remodeling our bathroom to make it handicapped accessible for my husband. I was looking for a bath seat with arms because he needed something to hold on to in order to stand up in the shower. This seat is wonderful! He can easily sit to shower, then can hold onto the arm rests to stand. it folds up against the wall . we had this seat installed by our professional contractor. The seat provides ample room to sit comfortably. Easy to clean. I like that the back rest is removable so you can clean the tile underneath.. great product so glad it was MADE in the USA!!

Arm rest did not come with chair

Required opening the backside of the wall to build bracing between the studs. Once securely installed it was solid and functioned well. Not sure what the slats are made of. Only time will tell if it will hold up. It's a bit pricy but I will likely recommend this shower chair for my next install.

The media could not be loaded. Easy installation. Make sure you screw all 8 screws into wall studs.
