One of the better trailer coupler locking designs.
Good price, and there are many manufacturers that have this exact same design (Curt, Reese, Chinese no-name brands, etc.). This is one of the better trailer coupler locking designs because the key turns a threaded "bolt/screw" to disconnect it, instead of turning a 1/4 turn and you popping out the lock. Why is this better? Because as Locking Picking Lawyer demonstrated, even if you can pick this lock, you have to do it about a half dozen times because for every 1/4 revolution of the cylinder, you have to pick it again, so the sheer time/effort required to pick this lock isn't worth it for a casual meth head thief. Sure, the lock itself is weak and can probably be hammered or angle grinder'ed out, but at that point, you lost anyways... Go get this lock as part of your complete security system of multiple locks and good trailer storage practice.

Does what it's supposed to
Looks and feels sturdy, only wish it was a little narrower so it doesn't move around or rattle on trailer hitch, although this could be fixed with a few cheap washers from Home Depot

I have a small pellican case knockoff bolted to my bicycle where I keep a spare tube and small odds/ends, and I use this lock to keep opportunistic folks out. 1) anything more than 1/4 turn is difficult to do when you have a keychain with multiple keys on it. This lock takes several full turns to open the jaws enough to remove the lock, so it is cumbersome to use 2) It’s heavier than say a suitcase lock, but I would not it call this a security lock. It serves my purposes well but it seems that a couple of sharp blows with a hammer would be sufficient to bust it off Would I buy it again? Maybe so. This is not a terrible lock, and it does what I need it to do. Knowing what I know now about the design and the multiple turns required to open it, I would research alternate styles to see if possibly a different design would work better for my needs

9-years & time for a new one.
Superb. I have an older one of these but I'm not sure which manufacturer I had originally purchased. I have had mine attached to a trailer pin & it has stood up to the test of time buy staying attached to the rear of my truck for 9 years & it is just to a point where the key & unwinding the lock is on the stiff side. I would not recommend it if you are going to put it on the hitch as a lock, I'd look for something different since this it a screw type of lock that may be frustrating to use depending on your frequency of trailer usage. (Screw type is when you put the key in & turn it like you would turn a screw.) The lock in my opinion used on the trailer hitch itself, it is too close to the framing & it would be easiest to have the key by itself & not on a key chain.

Will do the job, just not so secure ????
Looks good on the picture but does not inspire trust when you handle it. To open/close it you have to use the key to screw the master cylinder in/out (weird). It will offer a light barrier to avoid someone from breaking into your trailer... Although, if that bad guy is decided to take your trailer a cheap screw driver from Dollar Tree will rip it apart, easily...

Not for outdoor use
Generally seemed ok, but if you are buying to lock the hitch on a trailer, it is likely the trailer is outside in a couple of months , the interior of the lock corodes and becomes very difficult to get a key in key to operate. These are ok for one time or short term use, but not to store the trailer for a longer period. Unfortunately, need tonspend more for better product for that. If just using during travel like to protect it at a hotel or camp site, it is probably sufficient for that task.

It locks fast and fits well. I haven't had to pry one off so I have no idea if it would be difficult to remove by a thief or not.

Good for smaller couplers.
Is a great deterrent lock for trailers with smaller width couplers. Wouldn’t fit on my new RV coupler by a few millimeters.
