Great daily mineral sunscreen

As others have noted, the smell of this stuff ain’t great. Definitely has a slight sour milk smell at first but that dissipates pretty quickly once it’s on your skin. I am not super smell sensitive so it doesn’t bother me a ton. Having tried a ton of physical sunscreen options, almost all either being greasy, having too much white cast, or pilling I can say this is by far the best in terms of how it sits on your skin. It dries down to a matte finish quickly, feels light on your skin, leaves no white cast, and works well under makeup. It’s honestly worth the stinky application in my opinion.

Love this! Gives a slight glow

I’ve been using this for about 6 months and works great. I am black with a lighter brown skin tone and it’s one of the few mineral sunscreens that doesn’t make me look like a ghost. I don’t get what people are saying about the smell. It smells fine to me.

Works great, but smells horrendous

I love the way this product makes my skin feel, but the smell is awful. Despite its effectiveness, I won't purchase it again because of the smell. I am going to finish out the bottle I bought, but will look for something else when it's empty. Most Sun Bum products have such a lovely banana smell and I'm not sure why this one doesn't. This product is almost perfect. But that one imperfection is a huge turnoff.

Daily SPF I can get behind

I have been searching for a daily sunscreen that: 1. doesn't smell like sunscreen...like Supergoop Daily Dose 2. isn't greasy, I have oily skin so I don't need extra...like Supergoop 3. doesn't leave a white cast...like La Roche-Posay This one makes the cut! I have been using it for the last month and highly recommend the Daily Mineral Sunscreen Face Moisturizer. It is lightweight and blends in quickly, plus the recommended time to reapply is longer than La Roche-Posay so you don't need as much. Now, I do agree with others that there is a weird old banana smell BUT it goes away as soon as it is rubbed in. Seriously, it takes two seconds. Use it as your time to practice holding your breath. You will not smell like an old rotten banana so don't let that stop you from buying this product. For real, if this is what is turning you off from this product then I'm not sure what will make you happy. So make your dermatologist and esthetician proud of you when you see them next by getting and using this daily spf!

Ticks all the boxes!

A rare find that ticks all the boxes - 100% mineral, broad spectrum, no white cast on my NC34-40 skin, reasonable price, doesn't break me out, and has a nice finish. The only downside is the smell, which is admittedly horrid but dissipates quickly and is tolerable given all of the other pluses.

Good for indoor/light exposure

I got this for sports practice days. After about 40 minutes of sweating with it on I would start to develop a burn, meaning that it really protects for about 30 minutes while sweating in direct sunlight. The texture is just like lotion, goes on smooth and sheer, and half absorbs half sits on the skin. The smell is like rotten fruit mixed with dirty diaper. I hate putting it on or near my face because it smells so bad.

Love love love

I love this. It doesn’t break my skin out, it doesn’t leave my face looking oily, it does have a funny smell when you first apply it but it’s a mineral tinted moisturizer so that’s not unexpected. Minerals are smelly so these other reviews where they act like the smell is a deal breaker aren’t very educated on what and why they are buying something.

Not for sensitive skin and smells awful

I typically like Sun Bum products, but this one is a total miss. The product is thin and a little greasy, contains a fine shimmer, and smells really, really bad. In addition, it made my skin itchy and did not seem to offer adequate sun protection. If it was returnable, I would have sent it back. I definitely will not be purchasing again.
