Child Loves It

As a parent, there are a few flaws with this toy, as others have pointed out. The character is quite small (which I knew at the time of purchase). The two propellers are made out of felt and aren't held on with anything. When our toy arrived, one propeller was already missing. The remaining one I simply slid right off. Other than that, the toy is quite durable and has held up to my three year olds harsh playing habits. He absolutely loves the toy. The transforming aspect is a bit complicated, and he needs adult help for that, which I suspect many kids would need help with. Ultimately, my son loves the toy, which makes this toy a win for us.

Not worth the money IMHO

My son LOVES the show Super Wings, and he loves Donnie's Dozer , so I knew he would love this toy. As a parent, though, I'm very disappointed in the quality of this product. It is meant to "transform" and I understood from past reviews that my toddler probably wouldn't be able to do it himself (which I was prepared for). But what I was not prepared for was that it was going to fall COMPLETELY apart the first time I "transformed" it. The legs popped off with very little effort. At first I thought it was a fluke and popped it back on. But then I looked over and my daughter had pulled the legs off again, too. There is a photo in the reviews of the toy completely disassembled; from what I'm reading from the instructions, it's NOT supposed to fall apart like that... you're supposed to be able to rotate/swing the parts around to transform it, not take it apart and put it back together like blocks. Also, the little Donnie's Dozer character is significantly smaller than I was hoping for, especially considering it's all that's left still together to play with. And the character doesn't snap in to the tow truck or standing character, it just sits on top and falls off with any movement, which doesn't allow for imaginative play. I would say this toy would work if your child was 7+ (even though the recommended age is 3+. At age 7 they should be able to put it together even if it falls apart with only a little assistance. However, the show is really geared towards younger toddlers, so the makers of this toy missed the bill here, in my opinion.

It’s a present for today 2/3/18. Dubious quality compared to other super wings toys. Will see how it stands up to the test with a four year old. However it is very changeable. Very tiny, very expensive for what you get.
