So far, works good

The double stick foam pad that's for mounting the converter had dried out (no sticky left) so mounted with some zip ties, otherwise all good (used twice so far).

Easy to use, plug and go. Worked well on my 2015 honda civic sedan. I hauled a Uhaul motorcycle trailer with it. ????????????????????????

plug & play wiring

best way to add wiring for a trailer is plug-n-play. everything connected as per the instructions. pigtail remains in the "trunk" until you're ready to use it, then run the wiring out of the hatch, over the rear bumper and connect to the trailer. zip tie it to the hitch out of the way. when done, snip the zip tie and stow it in the trunk or in the spare tire cavity.

Great product, high level product support information and super customer service.

I recieved the harness in perfect condition in a very timely manor. The written instructions were exacting but the illustrations were really too small for my old eyes. To be sure, I checked the web and there are several videos that confirm the installation technique. The harness installed exactly as stated and fit perfectly. The only drawback I had was that I ordered the hitch and harness for a trip my wife was taking in a few days. She had a borrowed church trailer and when I hooked it up, brake and running lights funtioned but not the turn signals. The trailer was brought to us by an older pickup truck so I reattached the trailer lights to the pickup and everything worked just fine on it, but not on her 2014 Mazda CX5. So with only a few hours before she was to leave, I called Customer service and told them what I had. The call was answered almost immediately and they spent enough time with me on the phone to say it was a totally unusual event and he was sending out a new harness right away. In the few days between calling with a problem and recieving a new harness, I went and acquired a lighted tester since my mulimeter was dead. The harness was functioning perfectly and the trailer was the problem. Now I have to send back the replacement with my apologies for being a doofus. Every aspect of this product is good and I would absolutely recommend or buy again.

Perfect Plug-and-Play Trailer Wiring Option

I used this wiring kit when I installed a Curt hitch on my 2012 Mazda 3 i Touring. Since this car has separate turn and brake filaments, and standard trailer lighting uses combined brake/turn filaments, an electronic circuit is required to combine the two. This kit includes that, along with plug-and-play connectors that match the factory taillight connectors on the Mazda, including the ground. Even if I had a car that didn't require the turn/brake conversion, I would recommend one of these kits, as they make trailer wiring installation extremely easy and don't require any modification of the factory wiring. I installed it in the drivers-side rear compartment with the spare tire jack, and keep the trailer wire connector tucked inside when I'm not towing. When I go to tow, I pull the connector wire out, and carefully close it in the hatch. I prefer this to having the wire hanging below the car, exposed to corrosion and damage. My only criticism is that the double-stick tape provided on the electronics module did not keep the box secured inside the rear fenderwell for very long. Since it's safely inside the compartment, I haven't bothered to install new double-stick tape, but it would have been nice if it had included a better mounting option.

easy to install, but lights are very dim

this product is for multiple makes/models. i installed it on a '07 Mazda 3 sedan. it took 5 minutes to install by simply unplugging the lamps and plugging this product in line on both the driver side and passenger side. I popped out 4 of the pop-screws holding the carpeting in place and routed the wire from the passenger side to the computer modulal on the driver side to keep the trunk looking clean. there is plenty of wire to accommodate the Mazda 3 and i would imagine other larger cars as well. and the actual trailer plug has a nice long, 5 foot cable. as far as ease of install and overall product quality, i would give it 4-5 stars. now for the negative. i plugged this into a buddies small utility trailer. he pulls this trailer with a toyota 4runner and an f250 almost daily and has no issues. this product worked, it provided power to the trailer, BUT it did not provide enough power to the trailer lights. they could barely be seen. both the running lights and turn/break lights were incredibly dim. It says right in the manual for this product that it can only be expected to provide so much current, and that if you overload it it will not provide sufficient juice to fully illuminate the trailer lights. HOWEVER this small 8 foot trailer has only the tail/turn/break lights. it is not a 35 foot RV with a dozen running lights. if i truly did overload this unit with the 2 tail lights on the trailer, then this product will not work for its intended purpose.

No cutting or splicing.

Instructions are very unclear and hard to figure out because nothing written matches the car(2006 Honda Civic 4 dr). That being said, in all fairness, the product you receive is very well made and all is useful when installing into your car. The instructions are not helpful. Once installed it works great.

Totally plug and play. Almost.

Aside for one hole needing drilling for the ground screw, this tow harness was simply unplug and plug in. It was that easy. Very high quality wiring. Instructions are for multiple vehicles but this fit my 2007 Honda Fit perfectly even though it was not offered as a product that is compatible. No problem and now all the trailer lights work perfectly.
