Must purchase explosion mix separately!

Missing key ingredients for explosion. Mix needs to be purchased separately. However, we think outside the box and used vinegar and baking soda with a few drops of paint for color. More paint should be included to cover entire paper mache volcano. Other than that, it was a blast to create!

Not Recommended!!

I do not recommend this product. Potential buyers may wish to read the reviews regarding what’s provided in the box or lack thereof. Like the other reviews, I verified that there weren’t enough stickers to secure the volcano to the base; we had to use tape. Additionally, there wasn’t nearly enough brown paint to cover the volcano. In fact, it was less than halfway painted before we ran out. To make the volcano look like the one depicted on the packaging, we had to use tape, glue and our own supply of brown paint.

Great price but poor quality & instructions

Loved the price point for our project. However, the directions were very vague and incomplete, the actual cardboard for the volcano shape didn’t seem to be conducive to the shape they wanted you to achieve, the tape that came with it wasn’t helpful, and the tube didn’t reach high enough for the “lava” to flow out of the volcano over the sides. 8 year old was very disappointed. Wouldn’t recommend wasting your money - spend a little more for better quality.

Worst Eruption Ever!

This was a huge disappointment! The tabs included didn’t hold the product down. I had to use my own household products to get the cardboard to hold together. After several hours of drying we are ready for eruption. Box nor website never stated products weren’t included. Luckily I had ingredients. The eruption was a bust. Bubbles leaked from the top... no big eruption like I expected. No cool glowing lava effect!! It also stated on the website that the product could be used several times, which is one of the reasons I purchased it. After one crappy eruption the liquid soaked through the cardboard. I can’t use this again!! What a waste of money, but luckily Amazon gave me my money back so I can purchase a real product. Do not buy this!!!

Wrong Discovery product received. Garbage.

I didn’t realize until after I used the product that we got the wrong one. My wife ordered this but instead we received the Discovery “Underwater Valcano”. It was the biggest flake of a product I’ve ever seen. A few tiny bubbles and a little coloring runs out the bottom. If it’s any indication of how bad of products Discovery is outing their name on then we won’t be buying anything else from them.

Need hot glue gun if you have one

The kit over all is great. The boards to make the volcano how ever were horrible warpped and bent. They didnt stick together like they needed to.

Better off making your own from scratch

- Generally poorly made all around. We had to use our own tape/glue to put the base together - There is only enough paint for about an 1/8th of the volcano, so we had to use our own - Does not include the actual ingredients for an eruption, so again we had to use household ingredients 10/10 would not buy again.
