Great start my cats love their new carriers

This is my first day with the carriers so I put them in the basement to let my cats get used to them so far so good. I hope I have as much luck using them as carriers.

Both cats love this item as a house - haven't tried it as a carrier yet. I ordered one and it has been occupied by one cat or the other ever since it was set up. Item is so popular that I have placed an order for a second one so that each cat can have his/her own- Before I ordered the first one I had some questions so I am going to try to answer some of those questions for others that view this item. 1) weight limits - the box the item comes in indicates for "up to 15 lbs" I contacted K and K Pet products and they indicated that this was more a size thing than anything. The item seems very well constructed and my 22 lb Maine Coon curls up in it with no problem but, at 22lbs not certain I will use it as a carrier. 2) assembly - does go together quickly- this reviewer found figuring out how to start the zippers a bit ??? for a few seconds but once that was overcome the mod capsule was together in just a few minutes. 3) smell - one question asked about smell and how to get rid of - the capsule I received had no smell issue at all 4) toughness - I was surprised when my 22lb cat jumped up on the top of the carrier - I think he wanted his sister out of the house part - the unit did not bow and retained its shape with no problems. If your cat is one that likes to curl up in places this item will be a hit from the moment you put it down on the floor. Both of my cats love the product and can fit in for a nap with no problems - for the larger cat owners I have two cats weighing in at 22 lbs and 15lbs.

Hand Wash Only

I hadn't had to consider washability of pet carriers before, so didn't consider this aspect when purchasing. One cat had appropriated this for naps and it's worked pretty well for a couple of trips to the veterinarian. The main downside is that the material for the base is porous. So, when my older cat made a trip to the vet and the vet palpated her (including poking at what the vet referred to as her very full bladder), she relieved herself on the round cushion in this item. The cushion/pad is washable, but not readily absorbent itself, so the urine rolled off onto the the black part of the pod carrier and soaked in there. It's a bit stiff and bulky to try to clean in the washing machine, even if the manufacturer didn't not for the shell: "Please DO NOT try to wash it in a washing machine. " It's a bit chilly this time of year to try to tackle with a hose and I'm having a tough time envisioning how best to hand-wash something like this without making a mess in the house. Just a soak in the garage sink, perhaps.

Good for anxious kitties

These pods are great. I have a cat with high anxiety regarding travel, and this carrier has made it so much better. It is also good for my calmer cat. Before purchasing, I was worried about ventilation. This has not been an issue, even with my one cat freaking out to the point of hyperventilating at times. Overall he is much more calm, and the lack of outward visibility seems to be less stress inducing. The wide opening up top is great, as my cat flails out all his limbs to try to block, and it is much easier to get him in. Additionally, I am less worried about him hurting himself with the soft sides. I was also a bit concerned about durability before purchasing, as kitty has clawed through soft carriers in the past. I'm not sure how it would hold up on a long car ride, or extended carry. I have had him in this carrier for close to 2 hours (between loading, transit, and waiting for the vet) and it has held up to moderare clawing

Love it!

We had to bring our indoor cat to the vet, and she (like most indoor cats) hates traveling. She previously had a hard carrier that opened in the front. Not only does this have a top and front opening, but it has a pretty comfy looking pad (washable) on the inside. We left it out a couple days before the vet and gave her treats in it. It we t great when it was time to travel. We leave it out now because it's not bad to look at, and she will randomly go hang out in it still! Definitely recommend it.

Great carrier, fast service, no complaints!

Just as promised, it didn't require alot of assembly time and is very comfortable for the cat. A little larger than most, more like a small suitcase. You can remove the zipper front and it becomes a kitty cubby or a hideaway. Wished the cat would just go to sleep now instead of meowing all the time!. Can't say how the zipper will hold up over time but for now it seems o.k. It was somewhat difficult to zip the pieces together the first time, they didn't want to start. Unlike some other carriers, this one is totally enclosed except for the mesh circular front so the cat stays cozy. There is a loop in the back for attaching to a seat belt. Safe travel in the car that way. The price is a little higher than I really wanted to pay so I hope it lasts a long time. Thank you Amazon for the speedy delivery and the great price. Yours was way cheaper than any of the pet sites.

Perfect for my 8 pound Himalayan cat

The K&H Mod Capsule was recommended by a neighbor. I was a bit reluctant at first, because my cat has gotten used to a larger soft-sided carrier. But I couldn't be happier with this purchase. She went right in it and seems to feel safe inside. So when I was ready to travel, she went right in with no trouble. She seemed to enjoy the car ride better. Since there was only one small place to look out, she didn't see the scenery flying by out the window. My cat is 8 pounds, and I think it's a good size for her. It's easy for me to carry and doesn't take up much room in the car. I bought it in Tan/Black because it was less expensive than other colors. It looks just fine. I don't think she can push her way out, like she did with her previous carrier.

Les encanta! Es cómoda y segura

Es bastante amplia, fácil de armar y desarmar para lavarla o almacenarla, es muy cómoda porque tiene cojines y está hecha de tela, pero es rígida, ideal para transporte ya que tiene un cierre y puerta de tela. Muy segura y práctica.

Really awesome carrier for my cat. Love how easy it is to carry and seems way more comfortable and cozy then the other plastic crates. Wish I would have gotten the green instead of the tan colour but otherwise a fantastic purchase
