Better than plastic for us.
I have a standard poodle puppy, and as she grew, I needed a larger kennel. At first we had a smaller wire kennel by Petmate, about 24 inches long, but she outgrew it. I shopped the pet stores to see what they had for full-size dogs. I came home at first with one of those plastic jobs that comes apart in two sections. Although it's maximum dimensions were quite large, I found that the room inside for the dog was diminished by the angled sides. And they are huge. I couldn't get it fit in the space I had. I returned that and decided on this kennel for a couple reasons. 1. It fits in the space I have, yet has plenty of room for the dog. Since the sides are straight, the floor space is maximized. Our pup isn't fully grown yet, but she should fit even at 60 or 65 lb. 2. It collapses for travel, and is much easier to get through doors and into the car. The metal seems substantial, and I wouldn't want to carry it very far. Even taken apart, the plastic kennels are unwieldy to transport. 3. It has two doors, so it works whether the long or short side faces out, and there is a divider partition for when the puppy isn't kennel trained for toileting. I didn't try it, as our pup had never soiled her kennel. 4. It isn't satisfactory for shipping, but most of us aren't going to need that. 5. It is much less expensive than the pet store brands, and seems more substantial. The directions say it is not for dogs that aren't kennel-trained and that try to escape. A strong frightened dog might break the kennel or injure itself in a panic. It is great for my pup who has taken to the kennel very readily. My son's dog hated his plastic kennel and damaged his teeth trying to chew through the metal bars on the door. Proper training and temperament are very important, regardless of what kind of kennel you use. 6. One should remove the pet's collar before placing her in the kennel. When our pup was about 12 weeks old, she woke us up screaming one night. I thought she had caught her body on the kennel and was hurt. Actually, her dog tags had gotten caught and she couldn't free herself. If we had been away, she could have injured herself struggling to get free. So we always remove the collar now before she gets in the kennel. So far she has loved her new "bed" and goes in without a fuss.

Great cage with a decent price
Easy to fold, easy to assemble, very light weight. Love the option to use 2 doors. Dog tray is easy to remove for cleaning. You do have to make sure the doors are closed properly and secured in the hole. It’s easy to close the gate with the latch and think you put the bar in the slotted hole but it’s in front of it. That’s the only “negative” thing. But to me it isn’t negative bc when done properly it keeps your dog from getting out their kennel.

Great at home crate!
Wonderful and durable crate. The size we purchased is far to large to Tavel with or take apart. We loved that we could adjust it based on the size of our dog and that it could grow with her. This is a great at home crate to use. We would recommend purchasing a separate crate for travel because it’s a little challenging to assemble and it’s large.

Worked for my puppy
This works well for my rescue puppy (who outgrew the first one I bought her). I wouldn't recommend it for a heavy-set or aggressively pushy dog/puppy. I don't believe the wires would stand up to that. I love the two doors so that I can easily have access no matter where I need to put the crate. If your dog bats the door locks open, I'd try attaching d-rings to them. So far my puppy hasn't managed to get a door open. Makes me feel better to know that she's not getting into something harmful or dangerous while I'm gone. And she can still see the other two, older dogs, so she knows she's not alone. With the open wires I don't worry about her perhaps getting too hot either like she might in one of those more solid-sided plastic ones. Just hoping she doesn't outgrow this one (height-wise). There's only one more size to go.

Very room!
This thing is huge! LOL! But a good size though for our growing Rottweiler 15month old pup! It was easy to assemble, use, and clean afterwards. So funny that pup likes to go in this crate with no problem and doesn't mind to be in it for a few minutes!=) I put 3 stars for traveling as it is too big to fit in our car. It'll take up a lot of room too in a huge SUV. But other than that, it was a great purchase! A+++++++

Great crate, but make sure you fasten it properly
This crate is SO easy to take down and put back together! That was really important for me due to how much I travel with a new puppy that is still being crate trained. The only reason for not giving it 5 stars is the lack of a drop-down bottom so that if the puppy has an accident it wouldn't step in it or get messy, and you really have to check all of the little snap-together places and make sure they are in the right spot for the crate to be stable and safe (so far I haven't had any issues with this, but it would be easy to overlook and could be bad). Otherwise, it's a great crate and I love it, especially for the price.

Quality crate with two-door convenience
Bought this little crate for our new rescue beagle, who loves it. She goes in without hesitation and sleeps comfortably in it. We like the fact that it has doors on both the end and the side, leaving us options for how she can go in and out. My older dog has a larger crate with the opening only on the end. I wish his had a side door as well. The side opening makes it really easy to remove the bedding in her crate for cleaning. The doors themselves have dual latches, and she has not gotten out on the rare occasions when we have had to shut her in -- 99.9 percent of the time, she has free run of when she wants to go in or out. The floor pan is pretty typical for these types of crates -- basic black heavy-duty plastic -- and we have no complaints about it. Overall, this is a great quality crate for the price and I would not hesitate to buy it again.

nice crate, except for the divider
Good quality, sturdy crate. Love the double doors. The only bad thing i can say about this crate is the crappy divider. The divider barely fits the width of the crate and it will not reach to the top or bottom no matter how you position it. It is a trapping/choking hazard for a small/young puppy. I threw it out as soon as i realized. Other than that it is a good crate for the price.

Not as described
One door is on the top and one is on the side unlike the product here that has a door on two on the sides.

Working well for us so far
I bought this for our small (12lb) dog who had puppies. I was considering a single door crate to save money, but this one was on sale and only a few dollars more than the single door crates i was looking at. I'm so glad i got the two door because it's so much easier to access the puppies from the side door! It was a breeze to set up and will store away very efficiently when we are not using it.

It is ok but to small for two small dogs ...
It is ok but to small for two small dogs your picture on your web site shows a big dog in the kennel so that is deceiving to the eye. We gave it to the local spca.
