So fast & easy to deburr conduit

Hesitated to buy this because of the price and the fact that I’m pretty good with a swiveling deburr tool, but I have a couple thousand feet of conduit to run so I gave in and paid the $40. I’m glad I did. This makes fast work of cleaning up ID and OD of metal conduit cuts. Nice and heavy, very sturdy, lots of blades so you don’t have to adjust your grip or position. I’d buy it again.

Nice tool to have but..

Not perfect but it sure makes things a lot easier. After using this tool, you should be able to get the cut to 90% smoothness. You should still use the pencil tool to trim out the ones that this tool could not take out. There is less to do after using this. It gets the outer and Inner sides quite well but it will potentially leave a burr that you can use the pencil tool to remove it.

A great high quality de-burring tool.

Very high quality. Expensive but MUCH better quality body and cutting blades than the cheap plastic body competitor tools. Worked great on copper pipe for my plumbing job.

Can't say I'm very impressed

This tool is just barely ok. It works to ream and chamfer copper pipe if you supply a lot of pressure. Can't say I'm very impressed at all. Over priced for what it does.

I bought this specifically for chamfering stainless steel tubing but it would not even take the edge off

Amazon Description RIDGID 29983 Model 223S Stainless Steel Pipe Reamer, 1/4-inch to 1-1/4-inch Inner/Outer Reamer Pipe reamer has a 1/4-inch to 1-1/4-inch (6 mm to 40 mm) outside diameter capacity How can Amazon get everything wrong with this product apart from the manufacturer's name and model number. I am a retired Design Engineer and amazed that no one, has so far picked up the errors in the items description. To start with, this item is a metric tool and they should have kept the details in millimetres, as RIGID do on their website. It would appear that no one at Amazon is familiar with metric dimensions, probably due to their American origins. But to try describing the item in imperial dimensions and fractions at that, is a joke. The decimal conversion factor is simply 25.4 ie 1 inch x 25.4 = mm exactly. The reciprocal of this is 0.03937007874015748031496062992126 ie 1 mm / 0.03937008 (rounded off) = 1 inch approx Applying these factors to Amazons description gives the following results Pipe reamer has a 1/4-inch (0.25 inch, correct so far) to 1-1/4-inch (1.25 inch, where did they get that from) (1.25 x 25.4 = 31.75 mm) (6 mm to 40 mm) outside diameter capacity (6 x 0.03937008 = 0.2362205 inches) I suppose that is near enough 0.250 inches, but 31.75 mm is a long way off 40 mm. To compound all of this, if you select the middle image (the one with the item on its side) to the left of the product description and zoom in on the right-hand end, you can see that the size is clearly marked as OD 36 mm. I purchased this item to ream the inside of a 40 mm O/D Stainless Steel Tube. It obviously would not fit. The items description on the RIGID website is:- Pipe reamer has a 0.236 inch to 2.362 inch (6 mm to 36 mm) outside diameter capacity

Not suitable for smaller diameter pipes <8mm

This product is not very good for smaller diameter piping as the point is not small (sharp) enough when used after a proper pipe cutting tool that displaces the material internally.

Allgemein gutes wertig anfühlendes Werkzeug

Aber es ist auf dem Bild viel größer dargestellt als es in Wirklichkeit ist. Aber ansonsten kann ich den Artikel weiterempfehlen.
