Nice combo with a flaw

Love the pole and reel. Hate the little o rings. Pita to get them on and all 4 have snapped. Luckily I have more coming but I’d prefer a better quality ring.

Excellent value for $20

This rod and reel I feel like is GREAT for just $20. I want to be perfectly clear on that. Any beginner ice fisherman with a light budget should look at this combo. That being sad, I feel as if a few minor improvements would be worth making this $30. For one, the tip guide is a bit square on the edge, I only use this for panfish for fear anything larger would break me off. I’m comparing this to a $25 bass pro combo I have and I like the other one significantly more. It has SS guide inserts, and a nicer drag. BUT…again…for $20, for your kid, or yourself, I think this rod has VERY good value as a light, panfish, jig and a crawler rod. I used this exclusively for a week, then upgraded to a rod with stainless steel guide inserts, and a bit of a smoother drag for larger fish like trout, smallmouth, and white bass.

The rod is great for 19$ fiberglass blank, moderate slow action, soft tip, great for a jawjacker. The medium is really a medium light. The reel is a piece of junk. It’s a 19 combo though- the rod is worth it If your looking for a spare? Great, just go up. First time? Great (FYI, I use a medium frabill for small -medium l lakers; this 13 medium is really a Ml)

Pole decent, but the reel did not reverse without issues.

I like the pole alot with the exception of how the reel is held on. It uses four heavy duty rubber bands to hold the reel on, and it does hold well. But getting those bands stretched on and the reel lined up with the eyelets is super annoying. The reel handle when switched to the other side for me would bind up and not spin freely. But it is a decent combo for the money.

Good not great

Good combo, not great. The reel attaches with rubber bands. The bands that come with the combo are Not easy to use and I ended up buying more from 13 fishing which puts it in the price range of better fishing combos.

Good for a beginner

They do send o rings to attach the rod and reel. Atleast mine did. When youre buying this cheap you just want to get at the water. This will do that and fairly well. I think this rod combo could benefit from a better reel. The plastic spool is no good and the drag is so-so.

Not happy.

Reel was bent, they provide o rings to secure the reel to the rod. Did not catch that in pictures. I love 13 fishing and huge supporter of them but this combo is not worth having with you
