Easy Installation and Works Without Tech Support-Update 18 months later
After reading many of the reviews, I was concerned this would be a difficult product to get up and running. My experience has been the other extreme. I ordered the AcuRite 01151M HD Weather Station Access for Remote Monitoring, Compatible with Amazon Alexa that included the AcuRite Access Hub, the 5 in 1 Weather Sensor, the color HD monitor. I also ordered separately the AcuRite 06052M Remote Battery Pack for 5 in 1 Weather Sensors and two AcuRite 06044M Wireless Temperature and Humidity Sensors. All of the components arrived in satisfactory packaging with no visible rough handling. First, I installed batteries in the 5 in 1 sensor and then connected the indoor color display to a 110vac outlet. After a couple of minutes, the display recognized the 5 in 1 sensor and began recording readings. After confirming the sensor was working properly, I next wanted to check the remote battery pack. So, I then removed the batteries from the 5 in 1 sensor and connected the Remote Battery pack with batteries installed in the remote pack. The device began working almost immediately with no delay. I did all this first stage work indoors with the devices sitting within 3 feet of each other. Next I installed the AcuRite Access hub. It is important that you copy down the product ID on the bottom of the AcuRite Access as you will need that when you register the device on the My AcuRite app on your phone. I am using an iPhone and the app was easily located in the Apple store. It took a couple of minutes for the AcuRite Access hub to connect with the website after I had added the hub's ID on the app. Once connected, the small LED light on the front of the hub remained on and stopping flashing. From here I was able to add the 5 in 1 sensor to My AcuRite app and see the data from the sensor remotely. First I checked that I could see it while connected to the same WiFi network and then I turned off WiFi on my phone and used the network data. All worked as it should. Next I installed batteries in the two small room temperature and humidity sensors. Then I added each one to My AcuRite app giving them about 3-4 minutes to get settled and making sure the signals were being seen by the My AcuRite app. They installed without issue. AT this point, I was able to see on my app all three sensors showing the current conditions. Also by clicking on the charts tab at the bottom of the app screen, I can see the history of each sensors readings across all the dimensions. Next I disconnected the 5 in 1 sensor from the battery pack and installed it on the roof (see attached picture). For this purpose, I purchased a 3/4" piece of steel conduit along with a couple of stainless steel hose worm drive clamps from the local hardware store. I screwed the 5 in 1 sensor to the 3/4" conduit and attached the unit to the top of the vent stack on the roof. I determined the height of the steel conduit so that the 5 in 1 sensor was above the ridge line of the roof and able to sense wind direction without interference. As you can see I was able to do the installation on the same vent pipe as the TV antenna. I ran the wiring from the 5 in 1 sensor down into my attic so that the battery replacement would not require climbing on the roof again. After two days of operation, all systems are working perfectly. I have not had to contact Tech Support. I have unplugged the color monitor a couple of times to move it around and during those brief time periods, no data was lost. I am giving this unit a 4 star rating because it does not have a battery backup for the monitor. But since, I can get the historical data from My AcuRite app and the AcuRite server, I am not disadvantaged. To get data in an Excel format, from the My AcuRite app, click on the cloud at the upper right corner and then proceed to decide the days you want to cover. Then click on the email address to receive the data. Then click Export and soon you will see the data in a csv format suitable for review and graphing using Excel. It took me less than 1 minute to get the file back from the AcuRite server. Update June 2021: The AcuRite 5 in 1 is working perfectly. It has performed well through two winter seasons and captures relevant weather data reliably. I have compared the rain and temperature dat with the NWS and it appears to be very accurate. I have also engaged the device to submit data to Underground Weather and that also confirms consistent readings with other devices in my community. I have added two room sensors and they work well. I have to replace the batteries every 6 months but that is no big deal. All I. All I rate this a 5 star for performance and reliability.

Very accurate weather station
It is very easy to read from 20 ft distance in my house. Set up on the roof was designed to meet the requirements of the unit. This is the 3rd one I have owned. They last about 3 years in Washington State weather. Make sure you the proper batteries. One downside is that when the power goes out in the house where the base is located, I have to go up on the roof, bring the unit down and pair with base unit. Apparently, it doesn't like paring from in my house, outside to the porch and then up to my chimney. But, I will purchase this again after it wears out in 3 years. Great unit.

Freakin' Awesome
I've been eyeing weather stations for over a year and finally bought this. The display is the best. Accuracy on the rain gauge was a bit off and needed to calibrate it but easy to do. I'd buy this again in a heartbeat.

Install on 3/4 inch EMT conduit and set up was a breeze.
I installed this plumb on a 10 foot 3/4" piece of EMT conduit attached to my wooden fence next to my astro observatory after installing batteries. Drilled out the EMT and attached screws. The display is excellent and very east to set up. I did not calibrate the rain gauge as I have a NWS approved rain gauge so I'll check against the NWS gauge and adjust as necessary. Reception is excellent between display and sensor position at 80ish feet. I's a winner!

Still working well after more than a year
Works as advertised. To orient the photovoltaic cell correctly in the Southern hemisphere it needed to be facing North instead of South, so I needed to reposition the wind vane 180 degrees because there is no software setting to do this. I quick Google search found instructions detailing how to make the adjustment and did not need to ask for tech support. I love the display data. The clock needs to be reset after a mains power failure. It has wireless connection between the instrument and the display that has good range. If you need to check the readings with a phone app then this one is not for you.

Good enough but poor performance
Would I buy again? Probably not. It does not meet the accuracy and range that is advertised. IRL it falls short. The reason one purchases a weather station is to record the crazy weather. The wireless aspect is great. It has amazing wireless range. The display is very good. The information format is fantastic. My biggest complaints are around the window of accuracy. Which seems to be centered around ideal weather. If you have ideal weather every day, then you don't need a weather station. We have it mounted 35+' away from the house, in a field. No obstructions. It sits 11' off the ground on a 4x4. We bought it to monitor wind. It's very windy around here causing significant property damage. This was a way to gauge windspeed vs damage for improvement needs. It seems that this meter cannot accurately measure windspeeds above 25mph. We independently verified this. It's not linear. It appears that 40mph on Acurite display is a real windspeed above 75mph. 30mph on Acurite is above 50mph. Our peek wind speed recorded by this gauge is 38mph. Despite verified tornados pushing windspeeds above 75mph. We have had several storms with 50+mph winds, but Acurite never recorded more than 27mph. Same day 2 yr old fencing (PT 4x4s) snapped. Second issue is temperature accuracy. It is great between 10F to 85F. However, with old, and yes, new batteries measurements below 0F are suspiciously low. When our cars and a second outdoor station measure -11f, -13F and -13F this weather station reports -24F. Again it's a good product, but doesn't do what it advertises, nor what I need.

Screen Layout good, but....
This replaced a 7 year old unit. Works well. The one thing i don't like is it constantly scrolls through useless information on past history. IE,highest recorded temperature, lowest temperature, etc. I would prefer that space be used to show current rain event total. When not raining, could just show nothing, or be blank.
