Works just fine. Fun. Angle not perfect.
Heavy duty metal. Minus one start for the angle which leads to a very reclined position for the child. It’s fun to use. We use it to go down mild descents no problem. And for water gun fights (on bikes). Other reviews complain about rider fit. Honestly I don’t think you can carry a child without impacting your fit and mounting unless you’re towing a trailer. For this to work I lowered my seat and moved it backwards to give myself more room. Wider bars help with reach. A dropper seat post would be even better. None of these fit issues is the fault of this particular product but rather with carrying a child in front of you.

Stupid expensive, works
Like the previous reviewer said, it gets the job done. It loses 2 stars for its outrageous price: $34 for a very imprecise bit of steel bracket, and a couple of u-bolts? Really? I realize Yepp is Dutch company, and they designed this system around Dutch bikes, which they say are mostly old quill handlebar stems. But, here in the U.S., modern threadless stems are the norm, and have been for 15+ years. They should make threadless the standard setup here, and people with old quill stems have to shell out for that option. I was worried about it scarring my nice, new, white Ritchey stem. Fortunately, I had an older black stem, which was also a little shorter, to give a little more room for baby and the seat. And I don't care if the u-bolt scrapes it up a little. Obviously, don't use this adapter with a carbon stem.

Worked great for my Trek 820
Easy to install, although the nuts are a bit worn looking. I did not have a deep socket 10mm socket. this is really a must have to make this install easy. To install on my 820, I removed three bolts, pulled up the handlebars, removed 1 spacer, and put the handlebars. I then spent way too long with the nuts because I did not have a 10mm deep socket. It works great except that my 820 with a 17.5 size frame is probably a touch small for this seat, but I am a large man.

Does not fit Yepp mini
Try clicking into seat before installing. This does not fit the Yepp mini seat model I purchase. Really disappointed this part has to be purchased separately and then when you by the adapter it does not fit the model 12020101, even though in the product description it says it will fit this model. This should be corrected.

This makes the Yepp mini work on most US bikes.
I love the Yepp mini, so does my son. May of the reviewers for the seat complained that it did not work with their bike. The seat is made by a Dutch company for Dutch style commuter bikes that have a threaded stem. (Google vintage bike and look at the handle bars if you don't know what this means). This adapter makes the Yepp work with the thread less stem found on most non-comfort/cruiser bikes in the US. Note: If your bike is a small to medium frame and you lean forward to ride it, you may still find that the Yepp mini does not work well with your bike geometry.

I love this seat design
I love this seat design. My little girl is tiny so I think we will get a lot of miles out of it. However the mounts are terrible. I bought this adapter for my mountain bike and it would not work. I did however utilize the latch part to fabricate a new adapter. Works great, just needs some paint. So if you are handy or are in the business of making seat adapters, take look at my design.

Manufacturing failure
You need to purchase this adaptor for any bike with a treadless stem meaning probably half of all bikes. Most bikes have a head tube angle swept backwards and to counter this swept back angle the adaptor (Slimfit Adaptor) that comes with the Yepp Mini has the seat attachment angled swept forwards (not backwards) to counter the head tube angle. UNFORTUNATELY Thule allowed this Ahead stem bracket to reach the point of sale without realising the bend in the bracket isn't even angled at 90degrees yet it should be angled with a forward angle just as the slim fit adaptor is angled, the seat attachment on the Ahead Adaptor increases the backwards swept angle to around 85 degrees. The result is that the Yepp Mini seat is so far reclined that it pushes into the riders chest meaning you can't ride the bike with any degree of safety. I've included a photograph to try and show the grossly opposite angles of the adaptors and NO just bending the bracket yourself isn't a good idea unless you want to cut through the re-enforcing folds on the metal plate which isn't a good idea on any bracket that is subject to vibrations and a child's weight on it. Really bad quality control by Thule :-(

This will not fit oversize headsets with open the hole being made bigger
This adaptor works well the only thing is i had to open up the head set hole as my mountain bike like many others has an over size head set.
