It’s ok

The knob is slightly crooked. I ordered a replacement and it was the same way so quality control is clearly lacking. Installed fine (by a plumber) with my new Kraus sink so satisfied with my purchase.

Only for snap-ring connectors

I bought this square adaptor for use with an EZ Mount disposal. The Kraus adaptor is made to fit snap-ring mounts, so that wouldn't work - I returned the EZ mount disposal and got a 3-bolt mount disposal thinking that would work. The groove in the Kraus adaptor isn't deep enough to hold the rubber boot on a 3-bolt mount disposal, otherwise it would work. My chosen brand of disposal did not offer a snap-ring style mounting system, so I cut the flange off the disposal-supplied adaptor and welded it onto the bottom of the Kraus adaptor. Now I had a Kraus square sink adaptor with the deep groove extension needed for a 3-bolt mount. It worked. But it sure would be easier if Krause offered different styles of their square adaptors.

Square garbage disposal drain

Perfect. Fit the disposal we had. No problems. Don’t know what all the negatives were about. Sticking anything bigger in than the hole size provided would not be a good idea.

Looks good, doesn’t function

I had my plumber install this piece so that I could have a garbage disposal in my kitchen, but now it makes the sink a very slow drain. With the original drain it worked perfectly but not it is super slow. Need a better design.

Kraus - Pax Garbage disposal adapter

So this is proprietary for the Kraus Square drain sinks. I like the sink but was frustrated with the the push down and pop up built in strainer for the disposal adapter which prevented getting larger garbage pieces down into the disposal. It caused some frustration, until later. But with nothing describing there being a removable part in the product description until I went back and read other reviews more carefully I found one sharp reviewer that did, I am happy to report that the center 3 pronged element is easily removed to put any larger garbage down. See photos. Once I figured this out we are much happier with the product. I was surprised that this process isn't described in the product description. See photos.

I installed this in a nice stainless farmhouse sink by ANZZI that I got from Home Depot. Snug fit but it did fit. Works fine, but two points: 1. Even with the drain stop loosely in place water doesn't drain well. So it will be mostly left out. 2. Unlike traditional round drains with a disposal, this isn't wide open. When you want to use the disposal, simply lift the center piece out of the drain by hand and the opening is larger. Not nearly as large as I'm used to (could get most of my hand down before). Personally I don't like the square design but my sink gave me no choice. I hooked this up to a MOHEN disposal.

Beware of import duty as vendor opts not to pay it !

At no point did any one make me aware that there would be another bill Amazon apparently bury the information somewhere away from the advert and the vendor doesn’t mention it although they quote postage figure so I wrongly assumed that would be the whole bill until fedex insist by accepting delivery it’s up to me claiming I should have read the full Amazon website. Please remember to add nearly £20 to the cost

Mala idea lo cuadrado

En de vista bonito pero resulta ser mas difícil de colocar y limpiar. Si usas procesador de alimentos (insinkerator u otro) tendrás que quitar y poner los empaques si quieres cerrar totalmente en flujo. No vale la pena.
