Love these lamps

Bought these lamps 6 months ago. Still delighted with them. We have a long living room, 30' x 15' and one of these lamps lights the room well. Two lamps together chase all the shadows out of the corners. Bought Great Eagle LED 23W bulbs to use in them. Prefer the light given by the cool white ones. Yes, I needed to bend the bulb slightly down to keep it from poking over the top of the shade. Yes, I had to be VERY careful not to cross thread the pole pieces when putting the lamps together. I was concerned that they would be easy to tip over but have had no problems at all. The shades are mostly plastic but the sides look like fabric with light off and on. There is a low and high setting, manual switch. I have found the manual switch works better than an electronic auto dimming switch. Am so pleased with these lamps.

Bulbs can be seen

So the bulbs can be seen sticking out above the lamp shade but wow this thing really lights up a room when you buy (2) 150watt bulbs. My lamp sits behind a sofa so I was able to put a wooden box under it, so I'm not always staring directly at the bulbs.

Lamp last for 1 month and then breaks. This is was my 5th and last time buying this lamp

It is a beautiful lamp. But the reports that the light bulb ...

It is a beautiful lamp. But the reports that the light bulb peaks out from the top is correct. I tried CFL 150 watt bulbs and they are big and only one bulb sticks out from the top, a little. It's visible depending on your height. I'm 5'7" and I see it from about 7 feet away and further. I'm going to try to alter it a little such that the base for that bulb points a little lower. The knob is a little bit on the flimsy side but since I'll be using this lamp with a light switch, I will never be using the knob. The weight and stability of it is fine. The brushed silver is very nice.

Nice, classy 3-way light

We have this in a guest room, and it's both stylish and functional. It works well with 3-way bulbs (be careful some 3-way LEDs seem to flicker, but that's the bulb not the lamp), and the finish was perfect. Sometimes these lamps have scratches or imperfections, but our's arrived in perfect shape. The shade does an excellent job of keeping the glare of LED properly toned down. Would buy again. Would recommend. Product came fast and well-packaged from seller.

Ugly and Dangerous Lamp

After receiving and putting together this lamp, I have one advice to all future buyers, when you see a company name “Odesso” stay away. No matter what the star rating says, I assume most of them are fake and paid by the company, don’t buy their products. I have tried a few of their lamps, they are all bad. Now few words about this particular lamp. The shade does not just look cheap like many reviews say, it look cheap and ugly. Very ugly. Take any of you lamps in the house, table, standing, no matter and cut the shade in half around the radius and see how it looks from a distance. The pole is stainless steel (I presume) is too thin. I have never seen anything like this in my life, if you turn the lamp on, the pole shakes for a minute or two like an antenna. It can’t be safe. Lastly, the shade construction has two parts: a shade and difusor. Difusor is a plastic, round-shaped screen that separates the base of the shade from the actual light bulbs. This difusor is located too close to the bulbs themselves. If you use regular 150V bulb, eventually, the heat would burn thru. I guarantee.

Perfect!

I love this! I have to 100 watt bulbs in it and it lights up my bedroom (which admittedly is very small [7' x 10']) it never feels too hot or anything. The knob did fall off but you can still turn the switch without it, and you could also put the knob back on easily but unfortunately mine fell behind my desk! This is perfect for sewing or writing or anything else that you may need it for, and thats just with the 100 watt bulbs!

Nice Lamp - Not sturdy

I do like the look of this lamp, but it is not at all sturdy. My kids knock it over at least every other day. I wish the base were heavier and the pole were thicker and not so flimsy. For the price, compared to others, I was disappointed
