A must for your hunting bag.
Easy to use, light weight and doesn’t take up a lot of room but fits perfectly in your hand.

Clever and robust field sharpener.
This is a good field sharpener. You could carry a small ceramic stick to “fine-up” the edge.

Quite good
It's light, strong, very portable/convenient and puts a good edge. My only complaints are: 1) if you have a 3.5-4 inch blade, it's difficult to sharpen an entire side in one long stroke since the edge of the handle sticks out perpendicular to the sharpener, pushing the flat of your blade to a much too extreme angle for sharpening when it comes right up to the handle at the beginning of each stroke. and 2) there is a black plastic extension at the end of the rod which I don't like, because often at the end of a stroke, the blade will run onto it and catch somewhat on it, which seems to be a design flaw. However, I am somewhat new to knife sharpening, so I don't really know what I'm talking about, and I still like this sharpener as well as Kershaw in general, so I am happy I bought it and I do recommend.

Makes sharpening eash
I have several sharpening methods, and own two other diamond stone gadgets. This is a very clever system, and frankly had it not been for a respected guide and the Kershaw brand, I'd have been too skeptical to buy this. But I wanted something for remote field work, and my diamonds stones are just too big, so I decided to try it. Wow. It does a brillaint job of sharpening. I've tried on on over a dozen different knives now and they all took an edge with little fuss. Perhaps it's the oval shape of the stone, or mayb it's becuase I'm usded to using a steel, but for whatever reason, I seem to get a respectable edge with out a great deal of discipline in the stone-to-blade angle. Obviously you can'it just ignore the angle, but it's easy to be in the "ok zone". With just a little care, I can get to "scary sharp" and without unpacking the stones, sharpening fluids... So, this is easy, cheap, and excellent. Almost too good to be true, but it is true... for me at least

Very Happy with the function
I own a lot of knives and have carried one in my pocket since longer than I can remember. This sharpener will not remove a lot of material to fix a severely damaged blade but that is not what it is for. It works great for a quick sharpen to maintain an edge or straighten some of the harder steels. I bought one to keep at work but will soon buy a couple more to keep around in other places and maybe as gifts for other knife collectors/users I know. EDIT: I had to come back and knock this down to 4 Stars due to how long this lasted for me. I usually use a regular stone on my daily carry but keep this thing around because I like to keep a sharp edge. While it worked great, it did not last as long as I felt it should. I purchased this item Nov 2020 and after a little over a year of maybe being used 2-3 times a month it was worn out. I'm keeping it at 4 stars due to the fact that when working, it works excellent and it was a good price when I purchased it. I did buy a spare one of these recently (not from Amazon, found it in a store) but once it gets close to being worn out I will still buy another one of these. I have tried a few types of small hones like this and the function of this one outweighs the lifespan for me unless the price for this item has a major spike.

Sharpens hunting knifes in the field so I have no problem while processing game!
Keeps .knives sharp with 4 quick strokes. It's small once the 60 grit rod is stowed away in the handle. Fits in my hip pack with no problem

Well made and compact
This is a great product for having a compact, light weigh sharpening hone for my daypack. It works very well for field sharpening on the fly, but does not replace a good sharpening system once you get home. It certainly does what I bought it for.

Holy moly, yes!
I hate myself for not getting this sooner. For sharpening blades for cutting foam for prop and costume making, this is a godsend. I've never had a blade so sharp (& foam dulls blades faster than almost anything else I've come across). 100% would recommend

Does what it's intended to and it's very handy.
Well made bit of kit that will take the burrs off your blade similar to the knife steels I used when I was a butcher. Won't give you a real finely sharpened edge but when your out and about if takes up very little room and weighs almost nothing! Stores inside it's own handle so it won't ever get damaged and is a nice companion to Kershaw's TX Tool TXTOOL Multi-Tool. I really like the quality of Keshaw gear and this one won't disappoint as long as you're not looking for it to put a razor edge on your knife. You'll need a good stone to do that.

This is a very handy sharpener, easy to use and the sharpening part fits within the handle when not in use. Funnily enough, I just used it today to sharpen a couple of craft knives, when I was about to look for some fresh blades. Worked great instead of the new blades.

A must for Cosplay Foam Crafting and more
Foam Crafting? It's a must. Not foam crafting? Still a must. If you want a great sharpener that'll last you an eternity, get that one! You need to learn to control your blade's angle at first, but it gets in quickly. Light, efficient, sturdy, good quality product!
