Works great and looks great.

I was happy to see that Amazon Basics started making a coffee maker because my family uses one every day and over the years we tend to burn through them. Coffee makers tend to break and before this one we were averaging at least one or two each year. What I like about this one is the look is simple and the functions are simple. It's easy to set the time, pre-set your brew time, etc. I find the coffee maker makes great tasting coffee compared to many options I've tried in the $50 - $100 price range. FYI- it uses the cone style coffee filters, which I actually think makes tastier coffee than the basket style ones. I have liked the switch to this style. The one drawback, I did have our first unit break on us within the first 30 days. I think it was just defective. Amazon replaced it and that one lasted us about 11 months. The second one did not break but it did start running rather slow, so I replaced it. Amazon does cover this coffee maker with a 1-year warranty. Overall: recommended! great for the price.

Use it daily but...

This makes a decent cup of coffee. The only oddity is that the reservoir in the maker for your water is smaller than a full 5 cup pot of coffee.... Be careful if you are making a full pot and use the decanter to measure your water volume as it may overflow.

The coffee maker was very nice however The coffee pot glass was thin and the coffee doesn't get hot enough

A good mid-line drip coffee maker . Easy to use and makes great coffee.

This pot is straight to the point. Makes excellent drip coffee. Contains a reusable cone. It can be programmed to brew as you awaken. The reservoir is easily accessible. But know the mfg measures 6 Oz as a cup. Brewing cycle can be interrupted but pour quickly the one cup your permitted. Placing the pot back on thermal pad can be cumbersome. Lacks bells & whistles which often are useless. I like my pot. Good price also.

Goid little coffee pot!

I've had drip coffee pots in the past, some came with fancy names on them but this one is a best buy for me. It's just your basic coffee maker, put the coffee in the basket according to taste, pour in the water and push the button. No timers, clocks, auto shut off or brew strength settings, just an old fashioned push and go set up. I had a Keurig for a few years and it was convenient but expensive to run. This one is back to basics where there is a learning curve to how much coffee is too much or how long you can leave it on before it gets too strong. I've made tea in it also, tea leaves swell up at lot more than coffee so definitely, less is better. As forthe coffee, I like French Market coffee, it can be strong if you get too much but the nice thing about this maker is you can always add more water after you've taken some out. Just be careful of the steam when opening the lid. I've also used Dollar Tree ground coffee and it's done a good job with it, actually tasted pretty decent. So, if you're looking for just a basic starter coffee maker that doesn't break the budget I'd say give it a try.

Great For Small Spaces

I bought this coffeemaker to replace a brand name single cup coffeemaker that had broken. I loved being able to make a quick cup of coffee but I didn't love the expense or space it took up. When it needed to be replaced, space, price and ease of use were the main things I was looking at. This coffeemaker caught my eye. It is compact, the price of the coffeemaker was under budget, and I absolutely loved the reusable filter basket. When it arrived, I set it up. It took up about half the space as my previous one. The pot kind of looked like a toy one size wise and I wondered just how much coffee I could really make in it. It was cute though. I made a pot. The first thing I noticed was that the feet slip easily. This was the issue they lost a star on. The filter was nice and worked well. The pot made about 2 and a half mugs of coffee which was perfect for me and my partner. We don't mind making fresh pots. The taste, which in my opinion, depends more on the coffee, was excellent. The temperature was good. Clean up was very easy. I have used it for several days and am happy with it. I think this would be a good choice for someone with limited kitchen space. It brews a good cup for the price.

At this price point, a disappointment

It makes coffee just fine - spreads hot water over grounds that you put in the built-in, cleanable filter, and allows them to soak through and drip into the decanter. What I don't like at this price point - it doesn't automatically shut off after a period of time. Yes, the description says "heats until you turn it off," but I've bought cheaper coffee makers that make coffee, have a cleanable filter, and shut off automatically after an hour. The other thing that bugs me is that the "max fill line" on the decanter - at the 5-cup mark - is the MAX fill line. Any more water - at all - and it will overflow the bin onto your counter. Since the grounds will soak up water, you won't get that much coffee.

Price point is why you would buy this vs. so many others.

Buyer beware. I literally took a measuring cup and it tops out at 4.15 cups. Mugs that we use are never really a just a cup so for households with more than 2 adults, hoping its enough to get 3 mugs of coffee, not a chance, barely does 2. Plenty of the reviews already state this so can’t say you have not been warned. Build quality is kinda cheap and plasticky. However, Amazon Basic brand has never let me down so gonna keep it anyway. Small footprint, basic coffee maker that has important pause feature, is really all I need. Coffee is decently hot. Overall rating: 5 cup advertising 1/5 stars Build quality 3.5/5 stars Low profile 5/5 Reusable filter 5/5 There are plenty of coffee makers to choose from. This sold me because for the price point, you get a reusable filter, pause feature, and believe it or not, reputable brand. (have bought other Amazon Basics products and they have not disappointed).

Pros: - The reusable filter is super easy to clean! - Makes great tasting coffee! - Compact and doesn't take up a lot of counter space! - Water level is visible on the side! (good for making exact measurements without even having to pay attention to the carafe) - higher quality than a lot of coffee makers costing 1.5x as much. - Saves you money from buying filters or coffee pods! - Great packaging not overkill and certainly not underdone Cons: - Doesn't heat quiet as much as my keurig (I can put cold water in the keurig and it comes out steaming hot, this coffee maker it was certainly hot enough but don't expect steaming cups, except I'd imagine if you let it sit on the heating element it would get much hotter, or let the water sit before brewing, I was in a rush lol) - literally nothing else, this coffee maker gets delivered quick and does the trick.
