Amazon Basics item : Functional and a good value for money: BUT I LOVE THE HOLDER

This item was a great buy for the money! The tools are larger than I expected, full size. The handles are well made with quality rubber/plastics. The metal was probably not the highest quality and the first hint was that the non contact areas are painted black. I suspect this is to prevent rust which I suspect would not be an issue on higher grade metal. My favorite part was the well made storage bag. Five Stars on the whole package but really just because the storage bumped it up from a 4 star product.

Amazon basics 1000v tools

Quality is surprisingly high for a very cheap set.couple things however, vde, triangles and 1000v rating is only printed on the tools in ink so you should photograph it upon receipt before it wears off after a couple uses. The case is very basic but secures the tools tight(maybe too tight) not quick access. None of these issues are relative to the quality of tools

This set is great for a do-it-yourselfer

I work on do it yourself electrical projects like installing ceiling fans and this set is great for that use and at the cost point amazon sells at its a no brainer.

These are really great value. I actually gave a set as a wedding present to a friend. Blows me away how you can get a very good tool like this for $2-3 per tool delivered to my door. I have a Wiha professional set to compare to, and these are just as good. Time will tell, but these are crazy good tools any pro can use. Way to go Amazon

Superb Quality & Value for Money

Bought these on a deal of the day offer and to be fair wasn't expecting them to be that good, so was well impressed with the quality and selection of screwdrivers all contained withing a quality case, which is one of the reasons I bought them so I could easily chuck them in the back of the car and have a full set of screwdrivers for jobs big & small around at my elderly parents.

Basic by name but not quality

I've generally found Amazon branded items to be good quality and this insulated tool is no different. It seems strange to brand the items as basic rather than name them something which doesn't imply they are basic as the quality is good. The tools come in a zipped case, 14 items, of which 2 are rolls of tape, which looks like flame retardant polyester tape. The tools don't roll about in the case as held by two elasticated bands per tool - this is also a downside as they very much a faff to remove and put back. The Pliers set are all a good size, and feel solid, I've put a few under a lot of force and they have not faulted. The fulcrum (pivot point) has no wobble or play in them. The metal runs up into the thicker rubberised arms. These are comfortable to grip and use. The screwdrivers have magnetised tips and insulated shanks so you can hold this for a supported two hand use and remain insulated. I tested with some very tight screws and they held up fine, a little of the black plating on the ends has come away but the metal remains intact. As with the pliers large rubberised handles which are easy to grip. The voltage tester screwdriver is a basic cheap one, but works fine. An ideal set, and I cant see why they wont last and give many years use, but will update the review if they should fail. If it wasn't for the branding you wouldn't feel they are basic, they are more than up to the job especially for DIY use, and perfect if you don't have any insulated tools especially from a safety perspective.
