Just what I needed for ice tea
I was looking for a good pitcher to use for making iced tea, and so many reviews mentioned that glass would frequently shatter/break, that I turned to a metal pitcher. It's actually somewhat difficult to find a metal pitcher with a lid, especially with stainless steel on Amazon! This one has a mouth wide enough to easily clean the inside, and though it was shorter than I imagined, it is stout enough to hold several cups worth of tea. The construction looks good, and it hasn't rusted once on me so far. I usually pour boiling water straight in and let it cool for a long while before sticking it in the fridge because it's very good at maintaining temperature, hot or cold. It's not heavy either, so I can see myself bringing this along on a camping trip for boiling water. It feels sturdy, and I have already tried putting it directly on the oven burner with no problems. It's a great pitcher that looks nice on the counter and doesn't take up much space in the fridge either.

I rated this 3 stars because of incorrect product description. It's supposed to be 68 ounces, and that's what the box it came in says, but when filled to the very tip-top it only holds 56 ounces. That's a 12 ounce difference, which is significant for the purpose I intended it for. I also was under the impression that American Metalcrafts products, which carry a certain icon are made in the U.S. The package had the insignia, but the pitcher does not, and the box says it's made in China. That was a disappointment, I try to avoid Chinese products if possible. Other than that, it is usable, and seems well made. I will keep it because it's a pain to make returns.

GREAT QUALITY!
LOVE it. I had been looking for a stainless steel or glass pitcher (for a while) to use for a water jug. Another reviewer mentioned using this for water and that was my confirmation to get it. The size was smaller than I imagined when I opened the box, but it is actually perfect. Any bigger, and it would be a little too heavy for me. I am SO glad I did not go with glass because it would have been even heavier. Another problem with glass is that the lids tend to be made from plastic. The quality is great and I highly recommend this. If I needed another pitcher, I would most likely get this one again. It was not easy finding a stainless steel water pitcher with a lid, for a decent price.

Perfect for iced tea!
Perfect! I used to buy the glass pitchers (I do not use plastic) for making iced tea and they would always break! Then I bought metal pitchers, but of course they had no lids, but the hot water no longer made them break. Then I stumbled across these, bought two and love them. I use one for regular iced tea and the other for decaf iced tea. The only improvement I could make on them is to make them larger (2qt or more). These hold 5 standard coffee cups of liquid and do pour nicely (no drips if you don't rush the pour) and fit easily into the frig. They are very shiny and look nice for serving.

Serviceable but would get different design if could
It's serviceable but not great. I don't like that the handle isn't attached at the top so it feels a bit bouncy when the pot is full. It's not easy getting a stainless steel teapot that isn't glass or copper at this volume. However the handle does keep cool when the pot is full of very hot tea, so that's good. Pours well without dribbling down the side.

Its not 2L
This pot is def not 2L. More like 1.5. It started spilling out around 55 oz or so. Pictured is it next to a quart jar for size reference

No lid despite the description saying it has a hinged lid.
It's beautiful but I was dissapointed as the description said 'with hinged lid' but the item that arrived does not have a lid. I actually picked it because it has a lid so pretty bummed
