It’s a ring thing

I am beyond impressed with Kohler hardware! I waded in tentatively and, after AMAZING installation experiences bought the whole set! The instructions are specific and superb, down to the recommended drill bit sizes. The wall anchors are the most sturdy and easy to use of any I’ve wrangled with. The items mount perfectly and look gorgeous, and the price is reasonable. I’m sold! The only downside to these is that you can’t change the direction of the loop. So my opposing hoops go different directions. But they’re too gorgeous to care.

Nice design; not very sturdy.

I use these towel rings in both a guest bathroom and in the kitchen. One of the kitchen rings broke where the ring joins the mount. The kitchen towels get used a lot so just be aware of the potential problem. I believe that this is at least partly a design problem. The tab that makes the connection is too small.

Good product

I bought it because my new house has only one tower handler in master room, probably the builder thinks it is not mirrored so he does not mount another one,,, but it is not convenient for us to use two sinks together. So I thought it. It is good, easy to install. High quality.

Super pretty towel ring

It's super pretty in pictures and in person. I've always admired Nambe alloy butterfly bowls and this towel ring reminds me of those bowls - but practical and a fraction of the price. Towels actually stay on it too. I've tried all sizes - little hand towels, face towels, tea towels, ones with little rings sewn on.. so much better than the ones that got swapped out, which was an actual ring. Towels were always slipping off. I think a towel ring bunches the towel up unless there's a hanging ring on the towel. The Kohler Alteo is more like an elongated hook shape, so more of your hand towel or face towel can lay on the bar instead of get bunched up within a towel ring and then fall.

Very attractive and well built

NOT REVERSIBLE!

Seems ok so far, but contrary to a couple of Q&As I looked for before I bought this, it is NOT reversible! It only goes together one way. The extension is keyed into the base, so you cannot flip it over and make the opening on the other side. Which is a dumb design honestly. There's no realistic reason it shouldn't be aside from possible hardware standardization from the manufacturer. Otherwise its fine. Just a little annoyed that some people claim its reversible (based on an assumption?) when it is very much not. But it should be. Kind of silly to have the opening against a wall. Not the end of the world though. 4 stars cause its fine, -1 cause... well you know.

Great design and a good value.

After shopping around for awhile, I purchased the full set of Alteo bath accessories - towel bars, towel ring, toilet paper holder. Love the simple, clean, modern look. They feel sturdy and look more expensive than they are. The only (slight) negative is that the towel ring extends from the wall a little further than I prefer. Check the measurements to make sure this will work for you. Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase and wholeheartedly recommend the set.

Used Alteo Line for Bathroom Renovation - Loved Them all

Got this for a bathroom renovation before selling. Great looking design, and the finish was top quality. Easy to install with supplied wall anchors and screws. Miss it ... :-( Very good price, quick to arrive, and easy to install.

Stylish and easy to install

Unlike many items you buy these days, this came with a good template for making mount marks on the wall. Having said that, you can also use the mounting base plate which is easier. Product looks good and feels well made.
